Chapter 33

Ellies Pov:

After we got dressed Josie and I walk downstairs into the livingroom. Hand in hand.

It feels really great to finally do that without feeling afraid that someone might see us..

"Ellie!" My grandma exclaims when she sees me and I slowly let Jo's hand go before rushing towards my grandma.

I quickly wrap my arms around her and hug her tightly. She hugs me back as she congratulates me.

"Oh hello you too, Josephine." She says as she pulls away from me and walks towards her.

"Hello Margaret. Good to see you." Josie replies while hugging her quickly.

"So..I brought cake. Who wants some?" Grandma asks, which makes us laugh.

"Me!"

It's been a while and now mostly everyone is here. We're currently all sitting at the dinner table eating cake and chatting.

And so far it's going pretty good

"So Ellie..how have you been? Any updates on your love life?" My grandma suddenly asks, making me choke on my drink.

I notice mom glaring at me, probably telling me not to say anything about Josie but I don't care now.

"Actually there is." I say, which makes everyone look at me.

"Oh really? Why don't you tell us more?'" Eric tells me, making me roll my eyes but smile.

"Who wants more cake?" Mom asks, trying to change the subject but I just ignore her.

"Well..there's this..person and they're..they're really great. I'm very happy with them." I tell grandma and she starts to smile.

"And..are we allowed to know who's this special person?" She asks curiously and I glance at Josie.

"Yes." I reply and she smiles atthat excitedly.

"Well..it's Josie." I say and everything got silent.

"That's a funny joke. Now tell us the real person." Grandma says with a small chuckle, making my smile fade.

"She is the real person. I'm in love with her." I respond but she starts shaking her head.

"You can't seriously be in love with her. A girl?! It's just wrong." She continues and I look down at that.

"I thought you'd be happy when I am.." I mumble sadly.

"Is this how you all feel?" I ask as I look up to the rest of my family and they all just avoid looking at me.

"Wow..I can't believe it.." I mutter while getting up and then rushing upstairs into my room.

Right after I enter it I shut the door and lay down on my bed as I start to cry

This day couldn't get any worse

Josies Pov:

"I'll handle this. You go to Ellie." Eric tells me and I nod before quickly getting up and going upstairs.

When I open the door I hear her sob, so I quickly go over to her. "No, baby." I sit down on the bed next to her and she immediately sits up and wraps her arms around me.

"Why can't they just be okay with it?" She asks as she sobs into my shoulder.

"I don't know, love." I mumble as I gently brush my hand up and down her back.

"I don't want to go down there again." She murmurs and I kiss her head.

"But..how about we go down there and just show them that we don't care about their opinion? That our love is stronger than what they're saying." I suggest, on which she looks up to me.

Ellie starts to smirk, making me chuckle. "That's..actually a good idea." She says before leaning in to kiss me.

She then pushes me on my back and goes on top of me, straddling my lap. I stare up at her breathless and she grins at me.

"No sex, just making out." I tell her and she laughs while nodding.

Ellie then leans down and gently kisses me. She leans back up and smiles at me before leaning back down and kissing all over my face and at the end my lips.

"I love you." She says while laying laying on me.

I wrap my arms around her and kiss her temple. "I love you too."
