"What do I have to do exactly?" Kate asked them.
"You will be going on a long journey, this journey will be long and dangerous. Your task will not be easy, and you have a high risk of getting hurt and possibly dying, yo-"
Kate interrupted King,"WHAT! You're saying I could DIE?"
She didn't like the sound of possibly dying on a foolish journey they made her go on.
Defender put his hand on her shoulder.
"Yes, I said POSSIBLY dying." King remarked, "The risk of you dying is very low, now will you let me continue?"
Kate nodded at Kings question. Her mind filled with thoughts of what King would want her to do. After all shes just a girl?
"Alright then, as I was saying, you will be finding something. Or should I say someone."
"Someone? Who?" Kate interrupted him again.
"The person you always wished you had in your life. Your mother. She was captured by the only creature who is evil here, her name is Capricorn. (A/N:I couldn't remember if I said there was no evil or not so I'm just putting the one character here) And if you want to save your mom, you will have to find her and battle her."
"What do you mean by battling her?" Kate asked.
"I mean you will have to fight her. With your bare hands. Punching and hitting and things like that. But you will also need this." And with that he pulled out a golden circle. But it wasn't just a circle. It was a old fashioned pocket watch.
"Why would I need a pocket watch? To keep the time?" She replied . She couldn't see what she could use a stupid watch for.
As if reading her mind , Defender said,"It is not just a 'stupid' watch. It has magic powers."
"Oh ya. Like I am going to believe that a watch is magical. Like it stops time or something-ha that would be useful" She said as she rolled her eyes.
"Don't use that attitude with me! Now we obviously don't expect you believe that this watch is magical. But we do expect you to go on this mission. Now I believe you would be wondering what the watch can do."
"No. I dont want to know what the magic object thats dangling in front of me does, obviously I do! What does it do?" Kate interrupted him once again.
" If you quit interrupting me I will finish sooner! And a little less sass please. Now as I was saying, The pocket watch can do a great many things. It can slow time down. It can freeze time. It will glow blue when danger is near. But most importantly, it will keep time. You only have a limited amount of time before Capricorn will kill your mother. sBy the time the sand in this hour glass drips to the bottom, she will already be killed. You So here. Take it. Its yours now."
She took the watch gratefully from him, admiring all the small beautiful engravings. "So how does it work?"
"Well, there is a button on the top and if you tap it three times it will slow down time for 1 minute exactly. To freeze time, you tap the button as many minutes as you need it freezed. The glowing blue thing is natural. Like for instance, if you are standing near a cliff, it would glow blue to warn you that you could fall off. But anyways, you will sleep here tonight in our guest bedroom. Then at daybreak, you will start on your journey. Any questions?"
"Umm... Yes. As a matter of fact I do have a question. Will anybody be joining me?"Kate asked.
"Well your Dream Catcher will be coming with you."King replied in a duh tone.
'Oh thats good. I didn't want to go alone."And with that, she went up the gold staircase and dreaded the journey to come.
