A Race Against Time

The Morning Before.

Kate awoke to a sound of humming in her ears. She reluctantly sat up and looked around. Her vision was blurry from just waking up. Her eyes soon adjusted and she saw a sight she hoped she would never have to see again. King had no shirt on. He was sitting cross legged and seemed like he was meditating.

"What on Earth are you doing?" Kate asked him.

"Doing my daily morning meditating. Why do you ask?" He replied.

"Well, thats fine. But why are you meditating IN MY ROOM!"She said slightly angry that he woke her up so early. It was also the morning of her journey.

"Do I have to remind you that this is MY castle so I can do whatever I please, Whenever I want to, wherever I want to. So leave me to my being." He replied sassily.

"Uhhh..." She then dazed off again. A few minutes later, Kings voice rang through her ears.

"RISE AND SHINE GIRLY!" King screamed very loudly in her ear. "WE HAVEN'T GOT ALL YEAR YOU KNOW!"

With that, she bolted up almost effortlessly. She seemed to be in a trance. "What should I do oh mighty King?" She said in a robot voice.

"Well first get dressed in the outfit that appears in that wardrobe over there." He pointed to an intricately designed wardrobe. "Then meet me in the dining hall."

"Ok." King then left and she snapped out of the trance. That was so weird. She thought it had something to do with the meditating. Maybe when she heard the humming, she came into a trance. Anyways she decided not to ponder that too much.

She stumbled over to the wardrobe. She opened the doors and was pleases with the outfit. It was a red leather jacket with a tank top with a feather design to go under. She had ripped skinny jeans and brown combat boots. She put that on and noticed there was a brush. She picked it up, and it flew out of her hands and did an elegant Katniss braid. She turned around, and headed to the Dining Hall.
