Y/N POV
So it goes. Swept off my feet by this 4'6 hunk of a Lord only to be left as useless as the ground he walks on. I left my village, my brother... donkey. For this. To be left without a purpose where dreams are supposed to flourish. Farquaad had gone upstairs, packing for his business trip, without me.
I decided to go for a walk to clear my head, it rarely worked, but some exercise never hurt anyone. The streets were filled with people though, the paparazzi would surely get to me so I opted for the castle alleyways. It's mostly where the staff would throw out trash, execution remains and I'm sure a few babies have been conceived there too. God, I miss those days when me and Farquaad would do our own little dumpster dive back here if you know what I'm sayin.
"Hey you!" I heard a male voice say. Hm? Odd, there's no one here. "Psst, in the dumpster!" I didn't exactly want to touch the trash, but with a grimace on my face I pulled back the sheets covering the entrance to the dumpster. It was a mirror with a floating mask on it. It seemed to move around. "Ho boi, I was sure I was dying in there." It talks! "Woah, you're a talking mirror!" I exclaimed, surprised as I hadn't seen such sorcery before. The wildest thing I'd seen was a talking donkey, but this easily topped it.
"Sorry to bother you on your little stroll, but the guards threw me out here at Lord Farquaads command, If I'm not mistaken he is your husband... isn't he?" So much to get away from my infamy. "Yes... I am his spouse, why do you ask?" "Why... why do i ask? I just told you he made his guards throw me out here! Have you no soul? Have you no empathy? Have you gotten so used to his cruelty?"
I was taken aback. How would this mirror speak to me in such a manner. "No... no! I haven't! For fucks sake, I'm out here because he hurt me too!" I cried. I didn't know such sadness had built inside me. "You, you, you! I get it, he hurts you too, but have you tried to think about anyone else? The pain he caused me, the pain he caused those fairy tail creature, the heads he has severed from their very bodies. It's not a person to person anymore, this is about the state of all of Duloc and it's people!"
He was right. How could I be blinded like this. I mean, now that I know where his missing height went I haven't been able to think about much else. But I'm being selfish, I'm choosing hoes over bros. And Duloc is my hoe! I will save them all!
