~Y/n P.O.V.~

A little while had gone by and I now found myself being dragged by two boys towards the open doors of the maze. Our plan had been made. I'd still pretend to be unconscious while me, Thomas and Teresa were led to the maze to be banished like the others had told us. Eventually, I felt the two boys lay me down on the ground.

I heard Gally sigh. "This is such a waste."

"Gally..." Winston begins. "It doesn't feel right, man."

"Yeah, what if Y/n and Thomas are right? Maybe they can lead us home." Jeff adds.

"We are home. Okay?" Gally argues. "I don't wanna have to cross anymore names off that wall."

"You really think banishing us is gonna solve anything?" Thomas speaks up, his voice in a sneer.

"No. But this isn't a banishing. It's an offering." Gally reveals.

Immediately, my body tenses at his words as I hear shuffling around, most likely the guys tying Teresa and Thomas up as my sister spoke up, trying to protest with Gally.

"Gally, what are you doing?" Teresa asks.

"You really think I'm gonna let Thomas and Y/n back into the maze after what they've done?" Gally shouts in response. "Look around you! Look at our Glade! This is the only way. And when the Grievers get what they came here for... everything goes back to the way it was."

"Are you listening to this? Why are you all just standing there? He's crazy!" Teresa exclaims.

"You shut up." Gally replies harshly.

"If you stay here, the Grievers are going to come back. They're gonna come back, and they're gonna keep coming back until you're all dead!" Teresa continues, ignoring him.

"Shut up! Tie her up!" Gally demands, but I don't feel any hands on me. "Do you hear me? I said tie her up!"

The boys then obey as I feel their hands grab my arms. However, I 'wake up', elbowing one of them in the gut, grabbing the stick from his hand and hitting the other one in the face with it. Thomas and Teresa were untied where Thomas grabbed a similar stick to mine, hitting a boy in the face as we all met up at the entrance of the maze.

All the other Gladers stared at us with wide eyes, clearly not expecting any of that. As we had fought, Chuck had ran over with all the stuff we'll need while Minho slowly made his way towards us, machete aimed right at Gally so he wouldn't do anything.

Gally looks at Thomas and I. "You're both full of surprises, aren't you?"

"You don't have to come with us, but we are leaving. Anyone else who wants to come, now is your last chance." Thomas announces.

Gally holds up his hand before the Gladers could join us. "Don't listen to him, he's just trying to scare you."

"No, he's not trying to scare you. You're already scared. Alright, I'm scared. But I'd rather risk my life out there than spending the rest of it in here." I inform, shaking my head. "We don't belong here. This place isn't our home. We were put here. We were trapped here. At least, out there we have a choice. We can make it out of here. I know that."

It's silent as the Gladers seem to take in my words. Just then, Winston walks towards us, passing Gally. Jeff trails behind him, murmuring a small 'sorry' to the green eyed boy. A few more boys followed, and Gally glanced around at who was left afterwards, nodding with a small frown.

"Gally, it's over. Just come with us." Thomas tries.

For a moment, Gally stares at him. "Good luck against the Grievers."
