We made it back to the boat that John B and Sarah had, and we quickly sprang into action—getting the boat back in the water and refilling the engine. The next few hours were filled with laughter, jokes, hugs, and endless talking. It felt like I had my family back again. I stayed by my brother's side as he and Sarah told us about their time in the Bahamas.

It felt like the good old days—no one was chasing us, no police, no Ward or Rafe, no gold, no Kooks, no Outer Banks drama. It was just us Pogues, and for once, I could breathe easy. Time passed, and before we knew it, we were back in OBX. Part of me wanted to stay on the boat forever, to sail away and forget about everything. But life isn't that simple.

"Anybody else starving?" JJ asked, and I jumped up in excitement. "Me, me, me!" I exclaimed, making everyone laugh.

"We're gonna find some food," Sarah said as we pulled up to the dock. We all hopped off the boat, and Sarah immediately grabbed Kie and my hands, dragging us away.

While we searched for food, Sarah told us everything that had happened to her in the last few days—her bullet wound from her own brother, the whole ordeal. Eventually, we found a watermelon, and I pulled out the pocket knife JJ had given me, slicing it open for us to share.

"So, how are you and JJ?" Sarah asked, glancing at me with a knowing smile. I blushed a little. "Good," I answered, nervously fidgeting with my fingers.

"They went through a break-up but are back together now," Kie added helpfully. I let out a sigh.

"What?" Sarah gasped, surprised.

"After John B and your disappearance, it was really hard for us, so we broke up, but we're back together now. So it doesn't matter," I shrugged, taking a deep breath.

There was something I needed to tell them, though—something I'd been keeping for weeks. I felt like I could confide in Sarah and Kie.

"There's something I need to tell you," Sarah and I said at the same time.

"You first," I said, pointing to Sarah. Kie chuckled, and Sarah sighed dramatically.

"John B and I are married," she blurted out, and Kie and I stared at her, our jaws dropping.

"Really?" I asked, still processing what I'd just heard.

"Well, it wasn't exactly legal, but we are," she added with a smile.

"Oh my god, I'm so happy for you two!" Kie exclaimed, pulling Sarah into a hug.

"Welcome to the family, Sarah Routledge," I grinned, joining the hug. Sarah's cheeks turned bright red.

After a moment, we pulled apart, and Sarah and Kie both glanced at me, raising their eyebrows.

"So, what do you have to tell us?" Sarah asked.
