After our moment, JJ and I eventually made our way back to the others. We found out that John B and Sarah had decided to take a break, and I couldn't help but feel sorry for my brother as he drowned his sorrows in alcohol for the rest of the day. I apologized for losing my temper with him earlier, and thankfully, he accepted. While the others grabbed drinks, I focused on cleaning around the Chateau, since I couldn't join them in drinking anymore.

The next morning, I woke up in JJ's arms, his snores filling the quiet morning air of Kildare Island. "JJ, wake up," I mumbled, gently brushing his hair behind his ear. "Morning, sleepyhead," I whispered, placing a soft kiss on his lips as his eyes slowly opened.

"God, I feel like death," he groaned.

"That's what you get for drinking so much last night," I teased, giving him a playful shove as I threw on a pair of clean shorts and one of JJ's oversized hoodies—my own clothes were starting to get too tight. "Come on, JJ! We've got school in thirty minutes!" I urged, pulling on my shoes.

"I hate school," he whined, sitting up and rubbing his temples before stretching his arms out.

"Don't we all?" I said, rolling my eyes as he grabbed a clean shirt and shorts.

Once we were both dressed, we met the others in the living room. I knew Pope and Kie would already be ready to go while they woke John B up. "Um, I'll meet up with you guys later," Kie said, drawing everyone's attention. We all nodded, and I grabbed my school bag along with an apple. "See you later," I waved at Kie as she left.

"I'm starving. I need some pizza," JJ grumbled, rubbing his stomach.

"Nope, you missed breakfast," Pope shot back as he pulled John B and JJ out of the house. Pope took the driver's seat since he was the only sober one besides me. JJ curled up against me in the backseat, resting his head on my shoulder while John B scrolled through his phone in front of us.

When we arrived at school, I nudged JJ to wake up, but he didn't budge. That was until Pope slammed on the brakes, and JJ went flying off his seat and onto the floor.

"Oh God, JJ!" I gasped.

"Let's go," Pope said, hopping out of the van. "Up, up," I said, pulling both JJ and John B out of the van. We walked into the school, and I sat next to JJ and John B while Pope sat on the opposite side of John B.

"Glad you could join us, Mr. Routledge," the teacher said as she walked down the aisle, handing out papers.

"It's good to be back," John B muttered sarcastically.

"Just in time for your first quiz," she said, and both John B and JJ's eyes widened in horror.

"A test?" My brother whispered harshly to Pope.

"I told you we had a test," Pope whispered back, while John B and JJ denied it. I chuckled, knowing Pope was right.

"It was literally the first thing I said to you," Pope argued, but the boys just ignored him.
