I've been seeing my neighbor out more often recently. Usually he's in his apartment doing something. It usually sounds like someone else is there but I've never really seen anyone come out of his apartment. Even though I could be wrong, I'm really hoping that I'm not. I have this huge crush on him since we started talking to each other. I haven't said anything about it just so I don't mess anything up.

I'm just sitting on my living room couch, scrolling through Twitter on my phone when I hear a knock at my front door. I set my phone down on my coffee table then get up and go answer the door. When I answer it, I see my neighbor Will standing in the hall just outside my door. I smile.

"I wasn't quite sure if you were home or not."He says.

"I've been home a while. What's going on?"I reply, leaning against my doorframe.

"I just had to ask you something."

"What's up?"

"Would you maybe want to come get coffee with me sometime?"

"Like on a date?"

"Yeah."

"I'd love that. What uhm- What brought this up?"

"I've just been thinking of you a lot lately and figured there's no harm in just asking you out. But, I just stalled for a while because I really didn't want to freak you out."

"Mmm. If I'm honest, I was hoping you would. It'll sound a little odd since we haven't really talked all that much but, I've had this crush on you since we met."

"That doesn't sound odd at all. I'm glad it's mutual though."

"Me too. Do you wanna come in? I'm not really doing much at the moment. Maybe we could just hang out."

"That'd be nice."

I step out of the doorway and into my apartment. He follows me in and shuts the door behind us. We go to my living room and sit down on my couch.

"Do you want a drink or anything?"I ask.

"No thank you."

"Mmkay."

He kisses my cheek. I smile wide.
