"Darling, you look beautiful." Rae's mother said as she came down stairs in her dress, her hair in a curtly ponytail and a crown and flitter.
Rae blushed and took San's hand, Jongho walked on her other side and they left for the outdoor party.
As soon aa they got there she noticed Gray by the snack table. "San, I'm going to see Gray." He nodded and Gray made her way over to Gray.
They ate a few treats and talked before Hongjoong approached them and stole Gray away.
Rae smiled, watching them dance together, swaying to the rhythm the symphony played, she smiled, happy for her best friend dancing with the handsome lord.
"My lady." Someone said from beside her and she looked over seeing Mingi. She giggled and reached out to ruffle his hair.
"My lord." She curtsied and the both rose, Mingi took her hand and kissed it softly, leading her to the dance floor. "Wow." He whispered under his breathing looking down at her.
"You look handsome as well." She giggled and looked over to Gray dancing with Hongjoong quickly. She noticed them break away from Hongjoongs grasp and run off. "Mingi wait." Rae backed away went towards the direction Gray ran off to, Mingi close behind.
"Hongjoong what happened?" Mingi turned to his friend.
"I told Gray I wanted to marry her. And then she ran off."
The three of them went towards the sheltered garden area and started looking around for Gray. Rae was nearby some flower bushes when someone grabbed her shoulder, she gasped and turned around quickly, relieved to see it was only Jongho.
"You shouldn't be out here alone." He said and pulled her out of the garden back towards the party.
"Gray ran off in there..." She tried to get out of his grasp but he wouldn't let go.
"She'll be fine, Seonghwa went after her."
"Seonghwa?! What if he does something to her?!" Rae started to panic and tried to run off.
Jongho pulled her back and gripped her shoulders tightly. "Seonghwa is my friend. He won't do anything. Don't do anything stupid and stay here"
Mingi and Hongjoong came back from the garden and walked over to the two.
"We couldn't find her..." Mingi shook his head.
Just then they heard a couple people gasping and looked in the direction where they where pointing. Seonghwa and Gray came back to the party, hand in hand and went to the dance floor and held each other, joining in on the dance. Rae looked over at Hongjoong clenching his jaw and looking away from the two.
"Common Hongjoong let's go somewhere else." Mingi said and lead Hongjoong off to the side.
Rae watched the two dance together. "Gray... What happened to Hongjoong?" She mumbled under her breath.
"Miss Rae, how has your evening been?" Wooyoung came up beside her.
"Oh my lord," she curtsied quickly, "it's been strange, but it's nice being outdoors."
Wooyoung hummed in response and offered her his hand, taking her to the dance floor.
"What do you think is going to happen between Lord Seonghwa and Lord Hongjoong... They're best friends but are courting the same girl."
Wooyoung glanced at the two dancing ands turned back to Rae, "I'm sure they'll be fine... Till Gray falls in love with one of them."
Rae looked at Gray at the sa de time they looked at her.
Rae noticed Gray finish dancing with Seonghwa and walk over to their brother, they where arguing about something so Rae thanked Wooyoung for the dance and walked over to them, hearing her name come up in conversation.
"You don't know what kind of lady she is." Gray said to Yeosang and Rae decided to step in.
"What kind of lady am I then?" She said looking between the two.
"Rae wan't to come to an artist club Yeosang?"
"My lady it isn't a place for you it will ruin your reputation if you go." Yeosang cut in before Gray could say more.
Rae stood there looking at the two for a moment. "If it's a place for artists, I would love to give it a try." She said at last.
Gray hugged Rae and Yeosang only shook his head.
"We'll be outside your house at midnight tomorrow, sneak down with a cloak so they can't see your face. Make sure no one sees you sneaking out." Yeosang said to her.
Gray and Rae smile at each other till someone comes up and bows to them.
"My lady, another dance?" Seonghwa offers his hand to Gray and they smile taking it.
"Bye Rae, see you later." Gray bids their farewell to Rae and goes to the dance floor with Seonghwa.
Rae smiled to herself and noted how perfect of a pair the two where together. She didn't notice Mingi walk up to her and follow her gaze to Gray and Seonghwa.
"They do look good together don't they?" He whispered in her ear causing her to jump.
"My lord you scared me." Rae clutched her heart and smiled up at Mingi.
"Another dance my darling?" Rae's heart fluttered at the nickname and she nodded. He spun her onto the dance floor and they danced along Gray and Seonghwa for the rest of the duration of the night.
The two parts go together :)
