As exam time was nearing, most students could be seen in the library or nearby cafes studying with friends. Everyone took lessons seriously, and Renjun was able to keep up his fine student streak. However, Renjun had started disliking that role he obtained due to a particular incident that occurred in class.

"Here are the practice tests you did in class. Please check your score and review your answers to learn which areas you made mistakes in," Mr Seo said in a monotone voice as he typed up something on his keyboard.

Most students glanced at the interactive whiteboard, checking the list of topics the science test was based on. Others were comparing results with each other. Then some were busy checking the mark scheme they were given. Renjun sat back proudly as he was satisfied with his result. Nevertheless, he went over the topics and wrote notes before placing his worksheets away.

He raised his hand. "Yes, Renjun?"

"Sir, once completed, what should we do next?"

A kid quietly whispered to his friend. "No fair, my hands been up for five minutes, and he never looked here, but when Renjun raised his hand, it only took him a few seconds to be noticed."

Mr Seo grinned, something none of the students found very charming. He strode over to Renjun and stood next to him, his hand placed on the back of the Chinese's chair as he leant into his personal space.

"You truly are the best student in your year group. So smart and perfect." His hand ran along with Renjun's messy locks before it caressed his back, slowly sliding down before squeezing his waist. "Behaved and obedient as well."

Renjun cleared his throat, and nobody seemed to have noticed the student that clicked a picture near the back before shoving their phone in their back.

"A teacher's pet at its finest. You may rest or take small notes or revise. Your choice, cutie."

"Cutie."

That nickname made him feel queasy. What sane teacher would refer to their student as that and get so close? A tap on his shoulder made him tear his gaze away from the page to face one of his classmates, Yeji. He had spoken to the female a few times, and she was a sweet person to talk to. She took a seat next to him.

"Renjun? Why do you let Mr Seo speak to you and touch you like that?" she asked, worry evident in her voice. "It's obvious you aren't comfortable, and he shouldn't be doing that to you either."

The Chinese male gave her a weak smile. "Don't worry, I'll be fine. Thank you for your concern though."

Although Yeji knew he was lying, she didn't push him to speak as swiftly changed the topic. "So Huang. Are you willing to help me out with my mistakes on the test?"
