September was still a light breeze with sunny skies and a few clouds, which made heading to a new school more bearable. Although for some moving to a bigger school may be dreadful, Renjun found a sense of pride to be able to attend a good school with a nice attire. The crisp new uniform with its gleaming white shirt, black blazer with embroidered pockets, carmine red tie and clean shoes made him look and feel even smarter. The school logo emblazoned on the right side of the blazer was of a sunset swan, an old local legend that caused the school to be built.

He walked to school happily with his bubblegum-haired best friend as they chatted about what high school might be like, the school, the students and teachers.

"Do you think you're going to try out for any clubs?" Jaemin asked the Chinese.

"Hm? Not sure yet, maybe art club," Renjun revealed. "You?"

"Either theatre or the dance team," Jaemin told the Chinese. "If theatre then I'll be the sassiest actor there, and if I get in the dance team, I'll dance like rent is due tomorrow."

This made Renjun chuckle at the male's remarks. "Maybe I could choose theatre to help with directing, creating stage sets, outfits or even script-writing."

"The art club and theatre kids work well together, so you could do either," Jaemin replied.

"Well, let's head to school first and then see what we do."

The large ancient building seemed young, for it was rebuilt within the last few years to maintain its prestige. The walls were smooth and a slate-grey colour. The fields were a luscious green as senior students roamed the area, some in the football field or by the benches. The students were well-mannered as they directed each other in where they needed to go, but they joked around with each other and were lively. One thing was for sure though, everyone in Swanlake High School (which was called SHS for short) wasn't only friendly amongst each other, but took pride in the reputation of the school. They had a clean record, unlike other schools, and luckily never had any issues with crime or bullying. Anything that did happen was taken care of quickly and quietly so no one knew, and freshmen were warned to not get involved in gossip that may have slipped out of someone's mouth. But who can resist a taste of the fresh spicy drama that could occur?

So when a small rumour about a teacher went flying around, it also reached the ears of the freshmen, who listened to the drama of the school. Jaemin and Renjun had both managed to befriend a male called Donghyuck, who knew the gossip since he had senior friends.

"This Mr Seo teacher guy only joined this year, he used to teach at the local middle school for many years but abruptly left to come here," Donhyuck told them as they were sat by the benches. "He only came because he didn't want to leave one of his favourite students."
