Chapter: 8

Authors POV

Lydia sucked in a deep breath as at last the show stopper stepped on the platform.

The show was a hit; if the claps and cheers were any indication but she was still anxious as now it was her turn to walk as the lead designer.

The show stoppers stopped at the end of the runway to pose for some pictures and as usual was accepted with a warm round of applause.They made their way back at the platform and then she slowly made her way as her name was called out.

"Ladies and gentlemen what a chic collection and what an amazing show. Now I'd like to introduce you all to the maestro behind all this, please put your hands together for the lead designer of Blush........Lydia Campbell"

Jungkook was smiling throughout the show and when the name for the designer called out he didn't think too much and instead put his hands together in appreciation.

As the cheers grew louder a figure appeared from behind the curtains. The view was obstructed from where he was seated and so Jung kook couldn't actually see her face other than luscious locks of brown hair.

Lydia walked the ramp hand in hand with the show stoppers, male and female. Her eyes skimmed the crowd before locking in with her best friend at the front. Bella stood cheering at the top of her lungs next to Mason who although subtle but was clapping along.

Jung kook on the other hand was shocked beyond measures. He couldn't believe he had been rooting for 'her' all along. And he grew even more surprised when she smiled and waved in their direction. His head snapped to the side at the speed of lightning to see that indeed she was waving to Taehyung, RM and Jimin and they happily waved back.This didn't settle well with him and from then onwards he had an evident grumpy scowl on his face.

JungKook's POV

After the show we were about to leave but we decided to stay for the after party on Mrs.Campbell's insistence. When she mentioned snacks and drinks we were sold.

Ohkay I change my mind, the decision to come here was not shitty after all. The food here is amazing and I lost the gang as soon as we laid eyes on the assortments.
There are all kinds of fancy snacks some I can't even pronounce. They sure did taste good though.

These mac and cheese balls were absolutely delicious and I was already on my fifth one. My eyes roamed over the table to see that there was only one of it left in the serving dish. I quickly went to reach for it before someone else could have it but my hand was quickly swatted away by a person.

I looked over with a mixture of annoyance and anger.

" Jin Hyung?"

" twiuoss wwiisss wmwine" he spoke with his mouth full.

"Huh" I tried to reach for it again but he turned the dish towards him.

" I told you already this last one is mine" he answered coherently after finally swallowing.

"But I reached for it first" I grabbed the dish and pulled it nearer.

" So what!? I looked at it first" he rolled his eyes and snatched the dish away again.

" I thought about it first so this belongs to me now thanks" I picked the skewer up but dropped it when jin hyung slapped my hand again.

" Are you trying to mess with your hyung huh? Is this how you treat your elders kid" he rapped, coming nearer with every word.

" Woahhh just cause you're the eldest you don't get to play the Hyung card every time" I pouted clearly annoyed, but all of us knew that we couldn't win against him if he pulled the Hyung card on us.

" Uh-uhhh now who said that?" The sly smirk of his face clearly showed he was well aware.

Jin Hyung was about to pick the skewer but someone else beat him to it. He was dumbfounded as Taehyung devoured the treat in one go and then moaned in approval.

"This was delicious Hyung you should try it" smiling sheepishly he proceeded to give him a pat on the back then and disappeared from sight.

I burst out laughing and Jin Hyung gave me a glare which shut me up but I burst into giggles once again.

"This boy I swear" he shook his head before joining in with me.

Author's POV

Lydia was busy interacting with everyone congratulating her for the hit show. What she didn't see was the fond smile her mother had on her face whilst watching her from afar.

She was talking to a woman when her mother approached her along with a middle-aged man. Judging from his appearance the man spoke business.

"Lydia, I'd like you to meet Rob, he's an old business associate" Mrs. Campbell gestured to the man beside her.

"Nice to meet you Rob, hope you're enjoying the party" plastering a smile, she shook hands with the said man.

"The pleasure is all mine and why dear I certainly am" he pointed to the drink in his hand which made us all laugh.

"I must say I am quite impressed; you certainly take after your mother" Lydia shook her head at the compliment.

"Thank you so much but I believe you're being too kind I still have a long way to go" she gave him a genuine smile this time.

"Well, I'd like you to introduce you to someone, they're big in style and fashion and seemed really interested in your collection, please if you may"

He asked her to follow him and she gestured him to lead the way. He came to stop in front of very familiar faces.

"Lydia, I'd like you to meet our international superstars, BTS; and boys this is Lydia I'm sure you're all aware by now"

"Hi Lydia I'm Namjoon; it's nice to meet you again" he gave her his signature smile which showed his dimples, "Hello, I'm worldwide handsome guy Jin" he winked and waved at her which caused her to giggle. "Hello I'm Suga" he had a :] expression on his face which resembled a cat. "I'm J-Hope it's really nice to meet you" he gave her the warmest smiles she had ever seen. "Hi Lydia it's Jimin again" then proceeded to wave at her cutely. "Taehyung here, I'm happy to see you again" he gave her a smile and a wave. Lydia's eyes settled on the last member and she scoffed.

Everyone looked at him expectantly whilst he rolled his eyes and murmured a "Jungkook".

"Glad to meet you all as well" she addressed everybody "except for one" she murmured under her breath giving them all her genuine best smile.

They talked for a while during which Lydia got to hear their take on music and fashion and was truly impressed. They boys didn't shy away in praising her either which caused her to blush.

"You know Lydia, I really think that we should work on a collab or something because I really think you understand the vibe we're going for." All heads turned to J-Hope as he spoke and nodded in approval as well.

"I agree with Hobi Hyung, all of us loved the style of the collection especially Jungkook here" Jimin patted Jungkook's back and smirked as he said the last part.

Jungkook resembled a dear caught in headlights and was quick to deny it.

"It wasn't even that special, I've seen better" he scowled whilst folding his arms.

"It didn't look like that when you were cheering though"

Taehyung and Jimin tried stifling their laughs but failed causing a fuming Jungkook to flee the scene.
