Author's POV:Jimin bid his friend goodbye and waited till the cab went out of sight before turning around to head back to the club. He could still hear the faint sound of the fast paced, loud music which occasionally became louder as people left or entered. Before he could go any further though he heard somebody talking loudly and by the sounds of it they seemed to be on a phone call.
Curiosity got the better of him and he found himself turning towards the alley right next to the club.
"-but how can you do this to me, you know how hard I worked for this!" his eyes widened as he saw Bella standing in front of him running a hand exasperatedly through her hair. What was she doing here and what was she talking about. He had no idea. Turned to the side she wasn't aware of his presence yet and he took this time to observe her properly.
Her midnight blue dress hugged her body in all the right places stopping just above her knees. Silky brown hair, once straight was now a mess as she ran her hand through it, tugging the ends. But it was her eyes that blew his breath away. Her furious eyes blazed under the street lamp like molten lava, ready to set everything ablaze.
"Sir I've devoted a lot of time into this I want you to please reconsider" she gritted her teeth, pleading to the person and it set him on edge. He didn't like it; not one bit.
She listened to whatever the other person had to say and ended the call. By the looks of it, the answer wasn't a positive one.
Taking a deep sigh, she looked up at the sky before finally turning and noticing the presence of the person who had his eyes on her.
Although startled by his sudden appearance she kept her expression neutral and cursed herself for being so careless of her surroundings in the first place. She knew who he was at a glance, owing it to the nature of her job and her photographic memory. Being a criminal attorney in one of the biggest law firms in the country required vigilance and intellect.
"It's you again" looking at the ground she started walking towards the club, Jimin following along. Her tone didn't have that fieriness as usual, it was sad, dejected.
For the first time in a really long time Jimin didn't know how to react. Should he ask her about it? It wasn't like she'd answer him anyways. Should he talk about something else to get her mind off of it or should he just maintain a distance and give her space.
"Just spit it out already" his head whipped to her side as he heard her sharp tone. She wasn't looking at him yet she knew he had something to say.
Jimin took a sigh, putting both his hands in his pockets as they walked side by side. They were right in front of the club now. He cleared his throat.
"Do you want to maybe talk about it or something" he asked unsure.
She scoffed. "Sure, Jimin why not! Let's also play house and paint each other's nails while we're at it" she rolled her eyes but there was a hint of amusement in them which didn't go unnoticed by him and the fact that she remembered his name caused a soft smile to grace his lips.
"Alright no talking then, would you like a drink?" he asked hoping she'd say yes.
"I can pay for my own drinks" and with that she started moving towards the club. Why she was even standing there with him in the first place, she didn't know herself but Jimin wasn't done pestering her yet.
"I'm sure you can but please I'd really like to have a drinking buddy right now. It's been a long night and I came here all alone" Lies. He could almost imagine the look of betrayal on Jungkook's face but at this moment he was determined.
