It was late at night, the downpour had weakened into a light drizzle as the temperature dropped even lower. There were barely any humans awake at this hour, Trucy only witnessed three while Connor and it had travelled to the nearest Cyberlife faculity. Now the two of them were inside a small shop, where they sold houshold models at the front, while the repair and costumsation were done at the back, where the two detective androids spent the night. Connor was sitting on a chair, looking around and scanning the interior filled with android components, while Trucy occupied the top of a table, since no other chair was available.

"What are you doing?" The GK700 model finally voiced its question regarding the male model spinning a coin around its hands. It wasn't like Trucy couldn't follow the movements or comprehend theact itself, rather than the means behind it.

"I'm callibrating my system." Connor replied without stopping, instead it switched to flinging it between its hands. Trucy nodded in response, as the answer was logical in every way: they needed to predict the perfect force and route — so it watched intently how Connor did every movement possible with a coin and two hands, until that piece of metal got caught between its two fingers. This surprised Trucy, and it was about to question why the other stopped, until Connor turned its attention at it.

"Why did you wait me?" The RK800 seemed genuinely confused, based on its tilted head and furrowed eyebrows. Its question was a sound one, after all Trucy's mission did not require it to wait until the other prototype had finished.

"I figured we could plan ahead for tomorrow this way. Would that not be more efficent?" Trucy answered without delay, giving a full answer that seemingly satisfied Connor.

"Yes, this could indeed be profitable. Alright, what do you suggest?" The RK800 stood up and fixed its neat tie, before walking over to Trucy. While they did not need to be close to discuss rather confidential information like humans, it was still coded into their behaviour as to make humans even more comfortable around androids.

"Since repeated abuse instills post-traumatic stress in humans, and these deviants are able to feel — or at least simulate — human emotions, my calculations show that this HK400 suspect has 98% chance of having it developed. Thus it will not talk to any human, since its very abuser was a one. And if that happens you might need to do the interrogation yourself." Trucy explained its plan, it did not even realise the intesity Connor was listening with, until it finished talking. It had never been in the middle of attention, and it did not quite know how to react to it. So, it just straightened its jacket.

"My calculations show a very similar result. But if it were to happen, I am more than qualified to handle the deviant." Connor replied with confidence, altough the other android seemed to catch something flicker in its brown eyes before it disappeared completely. Regardless, what the male model said was the truth. It was made to be the perfect negotiator, deviant hunter and detective  in one body.

"Of course, but the humans might not recognise that. Also, I have a favour to ask you. There is a high possibility of that HK400 having seen the human or humans who traded red ice with Carlos Ortiz. If I could probe its memory, I could identify them." Realisation dawned on the other android's face, but it still hesitated on giving an answer. Instead the genuinely confused expression returned, and it looked as if it was about to ask a question, but refrained from doing so. "If you have a question, ask."

"..why did you disobey my order, back in Carlos Ortiz' bathroom?" To say that Trucy did not expect that question was false, however it still did not expect the way it was asked. Connor almost seemed.. hurt.
