With one last glance at Bee, I turned and ran after Sam and Mikaela. It was a challenge to get any further because of the crossfire but we were still able to move towards Lennox and his team. We had just hid behind a wall when we spotted Ironhide, Arcee, Chromia and Elita heading towards us. "Spotted Sam!" Arcee Informed the others. "Sam!" Ironhide called to us. "Ironhide!" I yelled relieved, waving to them. "Follow us to the pillars. We'll take you to Optimus." Chromia instructed as she gestured ahead of us. Some movement behind her caught my attention and I looked up to see a Decepticon aiming his cannon at her. "Chromia! Look out!" I screamed, but it was too late. The decepticon fired a shot and hit her straight in the chest, killing her instantly. The Autobots immediately turned their attention to the Decepticons "Get out, Sam! Get to the pillars!" "The pillars..." I mumbled, feeling Sam grab my hand. "Let's go."

The sound of bullets, canons and machines helped us navigate to the pillars. We, unfortunately, had to get past several decepticons. Whenever one of them saw us, it would turn their entire focus on us and give Lennox and his team a chance to take them down. Sam ripped off his jacket and waved it around while running, in hopes of getting the military's attention. A loud growl made me look behind us and my eyes widened when I saw Megatron chasing us. "Sam!" I yelled. "Run faster! Megatron is right behind us!" "We're almost there!" He panted as he waved his jacket. "Hey!" He screamed as we finally spotted Lennox and his team. "Sam! Spotted Sam and (Y/N)!" I heard Sideswipe call the others. Megatron fired his canon, barely missing us, but each hit just got closer and closer to us. It felt like we were never getting closer to Lennox. Like no matter how fast we ran, obstacles would just slow us down.

A set of small missiles were fired off behind us making small pull us behind a pillar for cover. I felt my legs give in, making me fall. Sam and Mikaela had also gotten down on the ground, but Sam quickly got back up, screaming and waving his arm in hopes for Lennox to see us. As I tried to get up I saw Lennox, Epps running towards us. Sam grabbed the back of my shirt and pulled more into cover. The sound of crossfire was defaning to my ears and it made me disoriented but I knew I had to stay focused. We were so close to getting to Optimus. "Come on! Mikaela!" I heard Lennox call and looked over to see him and his team behind a small broken down wall. We all scrambled to our feet and ran over to them. "(Y/N)! Over here!" Epps yelled, waving me over to him. "Come on! Get in here!" Lennox yelled, pulling Mikaela to him, before grabbing onto me as well. "Look who showed." Lennox growled. "You guys better have a good reason for us to be here." Lennox panted. "Where's Optimus?" I asked, not caring about his comments. "He's right over there, across the courtyard." Lennox informed, pointing to Optimus. A wave of relief washed over me as I spotted him. "I got to get to him right now." Sam demanded, showing Lennox his sock filled with the dust of the Matrix. "Not with an air strike coming." Lennox said, looking everywhere to make sure an enemy wasn't approaching. "Call it off!" I suggested, a bit angry seeing as we were so close to Optimus. "I have to get to him right now!" Sam growled. Before Lennox could answer, a low growl erupted from behind us. Lennox and Epps immediately pushed us back against the wall, in hopes to cover us from the approaching Decepticon. "Go. Back, back, back, back." Lennox almost whispered. "Listen up..." The Decepticon growled from behind the wall. Before it could say anything else though, the military started shooting at it, trying to take it down. Although I couldn't see what was happening, I could hear the Decepticon transforming and a shot was immediately fired. Just as the Decepticon was getting ready to shoot again, the sound of another engine caught my ear. "Incoming!" I peeked around the edge of the wall and saw Jetfire going in for a landing. "Stick the landing!" He groaned as he face planted into the sand. He luckily got up right away and ran at the Decepticon. "Behold the glory of Jetfire!" He roared as he swiped his staff across the Decepticons and grabbed onto its face. "Now let me show you how we brought the pain in my day!" he grumbled as he smashed his foot down on its head, killing it immediately. There was no time to celebrate as another Decepticon, designed as a Scorpion, jumped out of the sand and attacked Jetfire, ripping parts of him. "Jetfire!" I screamed in panic as I saw bits and pieces of him being ripped from him. Dirt flew around us as Jetfire trashed around and the scorpion Decepticon started to dig its way through his stomach. A loud groan erupted from him as he pulled the scorpion out of himself and he fell to the ground. "I'm too old for this crap." Jetfire grumbled as he smashed the scorpion head.
