"Check this out." Leo muttered. Looking around myself I could feel the energy of greatness erupting from the skeletons of the Primes. "Wow." Simmons whispered, seemingly speechless. "These are the bodies Jetfire was talking about." Sam mumbled shining a flashlight around so we all could see the Primes. "The tomb of the Primes." I sighed, a gentle smile rested on my lips. This meant we could get Optimus back. We could save Earth. "Yo!" Leo yelled and an echo soon followed. "Yo!" He yelled even louder, enjoying the echo. A reflection of light hit my eyes and caught my attention. Looking over, I saw in one of the Primes hand, something that looked very familiar. "Sam." I gasped and crouched down beside it. Sam turned to me and leaped over just as quickly. There, right in front of us, was the Matrix of Leadership. The key. "The Matrix." Sam breathed, carefully reaching towards the Matrix. My breath caught in my throat when Sam touched it to gently lift it up. He looked over at me and I could see the relief, joy and hope glimmer in his eyes. My face mirrored his, and all I could think about was that we were one step closer to getting Optimus back.

This joy was instantly crushed when we looked over to the Matrix to see it disintegrate to dust. I gasped in horror and I felt the instant dread take over all joy I held only a moment ago. "No." Sam gasped, clawing onto the dust. "Thousands of years, turned to dust." Simmons whispered. Tears immediately formed in my eyes and I was doing everything in my power not to let them fall. 'There's no way we got all this way for nothing!" A shaky breath escaped my mouth, but I was at a loss for words. "This isn't how it's supposed to end."

There was a loud sound coming from outside making Leo and Simmons run outside, but I paid no mind to it. All I could do was stare at the dust in front of us. "You can't bring him back, Sam. There's nothing left." Mikaela spoke up, seemingly trying to console Sam. The fury rose within me and I wanted to scream at her that she was wrong, but right now? It looked like she was right. "Look! Look around you." Sam exclaimed frustrated, gesturing to everything in the tomb. "We didn't just go through everything we went through for no reason at all, to just have it end like this. There is a reason that we are here. The voices and the symbols in my head led us here for a purpose." Sam leaned over on one foot and threw his shoe off the other. He then took off his sock before putting the shoe back on. "What are you doing?" I asked, the dullness in my eyes slowly disappearing. "Everyone's after me because of what I know, and what I know is that this is going to work." Sam explained looking me dead in the eye. "Trust your brother, (Y/N)." With a deep sigh, I nodded and gave him the most confident smile I could muster. If Sam still had hope for all this, then I was going to have hope in this too. "How do you know it's gonna work?" Mikaela asked, looking between the two of us. "Because we believe it." I answered for Sam as he finished putting the dust in the sock.

Once Sam had gathered as much dust as possible he made a knot at the end at the sock and we all ran out. When we were out of the building, I looked up at the sky to see the giant air-planes dropping off their load. "Optimus." I gasped as I saw a giant spot fall from the sky. "You think you can bring him back to life with that pixie dust?" Simmons asked once we caught up to them. "Absolutely." Was all he answered as he kept going. "Let's go." I called and jogged after Sam. Bumblebee and the twins transformed as we got back to the road and we all piled in. "Hit it, Bee!" I ordered and Bee took off.

We had only driven a couple miles when Sam spoke up. "That's them, right there. See the flare?" Sam said, pointing ahead. "Where?" I asked leaning forward. "Right over there! See it?" Simmons exclaimed, pointing ahead. That's when I saw the flare and relief washed over me. We were so close, and yet, just as I thought everything would be okay, a missile shot right in front of us, almost hitting us, but Bee quickly maneuvered away from it. "Whoah!" Simons yelled as more missiles arrived, all trying to hit us. "Sam!" Mikaela screamed as the car avoided missiles. "Bee! We have to get to cover!" I screamed, seeing as the missiles never ended. With a few static whirs from the radio, Bee found a small road that led to a construction ground close to one of the other pyramids. The missiles hit the ground one by one, making giant clouds around us. We all tried to not say too much as we all needed to focus on how to get rid of this Decepticon. The Autobots did what they could to stay away from the shots and so far everything was going fine. But this seemed to be the last straw for Leo. "Oh, god. Please. God! Please!" He screamed, tears streaming down his face. "Leo, stop freaking out." I growled at him. "Stop freaking out." Mikaela hissed, but he didn't listen, lost in his own bubble of panic. "Shut this guy up, huh?" Simmons growled, just as done with Leo as the rest of us were. "Please, just let me live!", "Leo! Shut up!", "Just stop screaming-", "All right, that's it!" Simmons yelled. Turning in his seat he put his taser to Leo's neck and let it loose until Leo passed out. It was finally as quiet as it could be at the moment and I was thankful for Simmons' action. "I can't take that guy any more." Simmons growled. "You and me both, Simmons." I sighed, my head slumping forward. We just turned a sand pile when we saw a familiar Raptor Jet swoop in towards us, transforming mid-air to reveal Starscream. "Look out!" I screamed, just as Bee drove between Starscream's legs. Satrscream tried to shoot us from the ground, most likely hoping the shorter distance would help, but we managed to avoid them. This created a giant cloud of dust and Simmons yelled fat Bee to use the dust for cover.
