After he told me his name we bid farewell and parted ways. It was now 12am and I began scouting the area. By the time I had finished it was 1am. I needed to be up at 6am so I went to bed right away.

"CAW CAW! WAKE UP! INTERVIEW! WAKE UP!"

I woke up to the not-so-pleasant noise of my crow, acting like an alarm, waking me up. By the time I had gotten ready and packed my things away it was 6:30am and I needed to be at the palace by 7. There was no need to run, I had plenty of time as the palace wasn't far from here.

"CAW CAW! RUN! RUN! YOU'LL HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE GUARDS AND REQUEST AN AUDIENCE WITH THE EMPRESS AND THE EMPEROR!"

Or so I thought.

'Running on the streets would be a problem as there is a large crowd already and it'd be hard to get around. It would only slow my movements and waste time. I can't go through the alleyways as:'

1. I might have to deal with criminals
2. I'd appear suspicious

That means the safest route to take is the roofs of the buildings.

'im definitely going to get weird stares but it's much better then appearing suspicious or wasting time'

I jumped onto the nearest roof and began making my way towards the main palace, and as I expected, received a mix of many confused, amazed and weird stares along the way.

When I finally reached the main palace it was 6:35 am and I stopped Infront of the guards and greeted them with a smile,

'you can't use your coin for this, you have to speak with them'

"Good morning, I'd like to request an audience with the emperor and the empress" I said, I really hoped I wouldn't have to speak much here.

"State your reason for requesting an audience." One of the guards spoke in an almost monotone voice.

So far I can only see male guards, I wonder if there are any female ones. If there aren't then this is going to make things harder.

"I'd like to apply for the position of the Empress' bodyguard."

The guards all looked at eachother in what looked to be a way of silent communication. The eventually came to an agreement as one of them left to go inside the palace and another one approached me.

"Follow me." The guard spoke.

He led me inside the palace, it was a stunning place indeed. Unfortunately I didn't have time to look around as the guard was walking quickly and I needed to focus on the mission. He led me to the throne room and told me to wait.
