Kanao stood up and turned to the voices direction. Now that she could see them in the light properly, she could see that he was a man who looked to be in his early 20's. He had long, black hair that was tied back with a red ribbon and his hair reached to the end of his shoulders. He had emerald green eyes that matched his hair well.

' I wonder if he has a lot of questions, hopefully not, I need to get a good amount of sleep and scout the area, time is precious. ' kanao thought, She was in a hurry and she needed to be up early tomorrow.

"Pardon me for being rude but," the black haired began. His tone was formal and stoic. He seemed to be holding back his actual emotions.

"Your not from here are you? I've never seen you before, Did you travel on foot? And lastly, is that sword of yours real or fake? And do you intend to harm anyone?" His tone switched from formal and stoic, to that of being laced with poisonous threats.

'should I even flip my coin to decide? Corps rules are to not reveal yourself to the public unless fighting demons or for the sake of the mission. He seems to be of hight status, and there's no one else around. I'll flip my coin.'

her head was flooded with questions, being too lost in thought. The males patience Thinning had gone unnoticed.

Heads: speak

Tails: stay silent

"Miss? Did you hear me? It's quite rude to ignore people that are speaking to yo-" the emerald eyed man began.

'huh? She flipped a coin? Is she deciding whether to respond to me or not? Surely you couldn't leave such an important decision to chance? Right?' much to his disappointment, he was wrong.

And much to kanao's disappointment. It was heads.

"No I'm not from here. I arrived an hour ago on foot. My sword is real however, I have no intentions to harm innocent citizens. I'm only here to apply for the position of her highness', the empress's bodyguard."

That was (unfortunately, for kanao) the smallest answer she could provide. She was not used to speaking that much.

"You've come here.... To be the bodyguard... Of... The Empress?"

Kanao nodded

' I don't know if she's lying or not, I'll have to let her go and trust the palace guards and Her highness. If she's a threat, she'll be imprisoned and likely executed '
