Chaeyoung's pov

I fiddled with the empty cup as i nervously thought if I should go to work or not.

I'm nervous to meet Hyeri and I don't know how I should act when I see her later. But then again I can't just not go to work especially since its my first day.

I need that job and I shouldn't get our problem in the way.

It was my fault because I didn't notice she has feelings for me. I was sharing my problems with her that involves Jisoo. When she was the one infront of me, I kept mentioning Jisoo in our conversation and little did I know she was actually hurting.

Hyeri's a good person and a good friend. She would have been a great girlfriend but....I really don't have feelings for her. I don't know how to move on because.... it's still Jisoo.....I still love her....

I was out of my thoughts when I heard knocking on the door. I stood up and went to open it and was shock to see Hyeri

"W-what are you doing here?" I asked

"I-i uhm... I'm here to pick you up so we can go together at my company..." Hyeri said nervously and scratched her not-so-itchy nape

I want to speak up but I don't know what to say so I just kept quiet until she spoke

"Please Chae... I'm really sorry about what happened yesterday and I want to make it up to you..." Hyeri said while looking into my eyes

I can see that she really feels sorry about what she did but why can't I move my mouth to answer her?!

"I-i..." I cleared my throat as I felt suffocated

Hyeri looked at me. Anticipating on what I was going to say.

I sighed and looked at her in the eyes.

"Fine" I answered and smiled a little

Hyeri's eyes widened then smiled at me so much that I almost couldn't see her eyes anymore

"Seriously??" She asked feeling excited

"Yes Hyeri, if you don't want me to agree I can always change my mi-"

"No! Of course not! Let's get inside my car then we'll talk so I can I make it up to you later after work" Hyeri said smiling and reached out her hand to me.

I smiled back and took her hand

Hyeri's pov

Silence was filling up inside the car so i decided to speak

"Uhm Chaeyoung?" I carefully called her

"Yes??" She answered

"Uhm about what happened yesterday... I'm really sorry....my emotion got the best of me that I didn't notice that I was hurting you..." I said feeling guilty about what I did

"No it's okay. It was my fault as well for not considering your feelings..." Chaeyoung said

I saw her shift uncomfortably in her seat from the side mirror so I decided to drop the topic for now.

__

We arrived and i parked my car. I saw that she was about to open the door so I quickly took off my seatbelt and went out of the car. I went to her side and opened the door for her.

"Hyeri you don't have to do this" Chaeyoung said and went out of the car

"But I want to..." I whispered and closed the car door

We walked inside and some of the employees greeted us as we went our way to the elevator.

I glanced at Chaeyoung from time to time and I don't know what she's thinking.

When we arrived at our floor. We went towards my office. I opened the door for her as she hesitantly walked in then I followed her.

I sat down at my chair and i motioned her to sit down in front of me.

She took a seat and I looked at her seriously.

"Since you're my secretary now and we'll be with each other most of the times. I hope you don't feel uncomfortable and let's keep things professionally" I said as I heard someone knock on the door

"Come in!" I said and the person went in

"Chaeyoung meet Taeyeon or Ms. Kim, she will be the one assisting you for now on what you need to do" I said and she nodded

"And please call me Ms. Lee when were not alone, I don't want any of my employees thinking that I favour you more than them" I said

"Yes Ms. Lee" Chaeyoung said

"Okay then you can go with Ms. Kim now" I said

She nodded and was about to go outside when I called her

"Yes Ms. Lee?"

"We need to talk later after work"

I don't have that much knowledge when it comes to companies or whatever they do in there so I hope you're okay with it that I keep skipping it. But that's not really important since that's not the center of this story.

If there's any mistake or misspelled words you can tell me since I didn't really double checked this part and just continued typing whatever comes in my mind
