Jisoo's pov

I sat down on the couch thinking about what happened on the dinner yesterday. I furrowed my eyebrows as i thought about Joy.

"Joy...who are you really...and what more are you hiding from us..."

I flinched when I heard my phone ringing. I took it and look at the caller's name. Jennie.

"Jen, why did you call me?"

"What? Can i not call you anymore?"

I rolled my eyes even though she can't see it

"I'm just asking since you don't call me anymore and I barely see you here at home"

"Well I'm sorry! I've been busy these past few days"

"I called you because dad told me that we will have a family dinner later. He strictly told me to come whether we like it or not"

"What? But I need to go somewhere later"

"Can't you just go tomorrow? I don't think dad would be happy if you won't come Jisoo especially mom. You know how much mom misses us when we left and stayed in a house where there's only two of us"

But I badly want to come with Chaeyoung later with her mom to get a DNA test though Chaeyoung might not want me to come with them. I sighed. Yup she probably doesn't want me there. Hell! I'm pretty sure she hates me!

"Fine I'll come later for dinner. Do you want me to pick you up?"

"Yes! That would be great! Lisa has somewhere to go right now so nobody will drive me to our parents house"

"Okay then I'll see you later"

"See you later as well"

I ended the call and took my car keys. I went outside and locked the door. I went inside my car and drove to Chaeyoung's place

I honked to let Chaeyoung know that I'm here. I saw her getting out of the house so I quickly went out of my car and greeted her

"Hi Chaeyoung! You look pretty today" I smiled at her

"Uhm thanks I guess..." Chaeyoung said not looking at me

Great way to make it awkward for the both of you Jisoo!

I cleared my throat and said

"Let's go? I know you still have somewhere to go to later with your mom" She nodded and went on the other side of the car

I froze at my spot. I badly want to open the door for her but it's already awkward I don't want to worsen it. This habit of me opening doors for Chaeyoung is gonna kill me!

I went inside as well and noticed that she was having a hard time pulling the seatbelt

I moved my body towards her and helped her pull it. When I'm finished, I pulled back and started the engine.

I tried hard to keep a straight face and i did great on hiding my feelings because I'm freaking out on the inside!

We were so close with each other!!! I can't do this anymore! My gay ass is panicking!!! I tried so hard to stop myself from smiling but I broke into a smile when I saw a glimpse of Chaeyoung's face. Her face was a bit red and may I tell you about how beautiful she looks right now...

Chaeyoung's pov

I look away and faced the window when I felt my cheeks heating up. My heart stopped beating for a second when we were so close to each other. I couldn't help but smile a little when that scenario earlier played on my head again

My smile dropped when I remembered that I shouldn't be feeling this way. Jisoo cheated on you Chaeyoung! Get a hold of yourself!

We arrived at an apartment. Joy probably lives somewhere here. I am so ready to give that woman a peace of mind.

We stopped at a door which is number 20

"Are you okay?" Jisoo asked

I raised my eyebrows at her and said

"Yes I am. Why wouldn't I be okay?"

"Since you know..." Jisoo stopped hesitating to continue

"It's fine Jisoo. Just knock on the door. I don't care about what happened between you two anymore" I said

Lie. You're such a good liar, aren't you Chaeyoung?

"Oh..." Jisoo avoided my gaze and knocked on the door

I heard a hint of sadness on her voice but I decided ignore it

The door opened revealing someone who I have never seen in my god damn life

"May i help you?" The guy asked

"Uh who are you? And why are you in Joy's apartment?" Jisoo asked

"Joy? I'm sorry but I don't know anyone named Joy" He said

"Huh? But Joy lives here...Ah right! Park Sooyoung do you know her?" Jisoo asked

"Yeah i know her. She's the former owner of this apartment. She just moved out yesterday" He said

I frowned and decided to ask him

"Do you perhaps know where she lives now?"

"Not really" He said and I nodded

"We'll leave now thank you for your time" Jisoo said and we bid our goodbyes to him

Were inside Jisoo's car right now

I felt frustrated that I couldn't even meet that woman and get the truth out of her. She left. Does that mean she's lying to us about her being my sister? I leaned back and rubbed my temples when i felt it hurt a little

"It's okay Chaeyoung. I'll find her for you. I'll use all of my connection just to find her" Jisoo comforted me

I nodded my head at her

Jisoo is being so nice to me but here I am giving her the cold shoulders. Now i feel bad because all she wants to do is help me.

"Jisoo..."

"Yes Chaeyoung?"

I bit my lower lip and said something that made me scold myself internally

"Stay with me please"
