Chaeyoung's pov

When the elevator opened. I hurriedly ran towards Hyeri's office

I woke up late that's why I'm rushing my way in here

My mom nor my dad didn't even try to wake me up!

While still power walking towards the office. My eyes went down to my feet when I felt it hurt because of the heels. I didn't notice the person infront of me when I bumped into them. I almost fell but luckily the person caught my arms just in time to balance me

"Are you okay??"

I glanced at the person that I bumped into. I frowned my eyebrows since he doesn't look familiar to me

"Y-yes I'm fine thank you" I said and smiled at him

"Be careful next time Chaeyoung" He said

I frowned. I don't remember telling him my name...

"Oh where are my manners. I'm Lee Jongsuk, Hyeri's older brother. She told us a lot about you that's why I know you" He said and smiled at me

She has an older brother?!

Now that I think about it I don't really know that much about Hyeri. I didn't even know she had a sister. Hell! I didn't even know she had any siblings! She only told me that her parents already died and her mom's sister is the one who's taking care of her.

Why did she not tell me about them??

"Hey Chaeyoung, are you still there?" He asked

I shook my thoughts away. My eyes widened and I quickly bowed at him

"I'm so sorry for bumping into you Mr. Lee! I-i didn't know some-" I said panicking but he cut me off

"It's okay Chaeyoung and please just call me Jongsuk and get used to it from now on" He said while looking at me in the eye

I suddenly felt uncomfortable and avoided his gaze

"O-okay Mr. Lee- I mean Jongsuk but.....what do you mean by get used to it?" I asked confused about what he meant by that

"You'll know soon Chaeyoung especially now that I'm here..." He said

I can't tell if he's smiling or smirking...

I just kept quiet since I'm still confused about his words

"Anyway I still have somewhere to be right now. Go inside and don't worry Hyeri won't scold you. She can't resist when it comes to you anyway" He said and chuckled

"I'll go now. It's nice meeting you Chaeyoung" He smiled and left

I took a deep breath to calm myself

I don't know why but I feel uncomfortable with him and I kinda feel some bad vibes around him but maybe I'm just overthinking. Yeah probably...

I went inside the office and saw Hyeri sitting while typing something on her laptop

She glanced at my direction and smiled at me. I smiled back and went infront of her

"Chae! I'm so sorry I didn't pick you up earlier. Something came up that's why I didn't have time to go to your house"

"What? Why are you saying sorry Hyeri? It should be me who's sorry since I'm late. You shouldn't be obliged to pick me up everyday" I chuckled

She kinda looks cute when she's panicking

"I just wanted to pick you up everyday..." She shyly said

I giggled when she suddenly became shy

I never knew she could be this cute

"By the way the something that came up that your talking about is it your older brother??" I asked and she nodded

"I'm guessing you have already met?" I nodded

"Why didn't you tell me you have siblings Hyeri?" I asked

"I just didn't find the need to and I would have told you if you had asked me" She said

Oh right...I didn't even ask her about it.

"Chaeyoung!"

I look behind me to see who called me and saw Jennie approaching us

Me and Hyeri are in the park right now. Hanging out like we used to do before

"Chaeyoung. Can I talk to you?" She asked

"Sure what is it about?" I asked back

Jennie's eyes went back to me and Hyeri

Why does she look so anxious?

"Can we talk alone? Just the two of us- if you don't mind of course" She said and nervously smiled at me

"Uh sure I don't mind" I glanced at Hyeri

"Is it okay with you?" I asked

"Yeah it's okay I have something that I have to do anyway" Hyeri said and smiled at me

I nodded and glanced at Jennie

"Let's go?"
