Chaeyoung's pov

"Chaeyoung! Are you out of your mind?! Why didn't you tell me about you and Jisoo?? I wouldn't have let you invite her if I knew what she did to you!" My mom shouted feeling worried and frustrated at the same time

I flinched when my mom suddenly barged into my room and started shouting at me

Me and Jisoo? Wait. Does that mean she knows-

"W-what are you talking about mom?" I nervously asked and she just glared at me

"You know what I'm talking about Chaeyoung.....why didn't you tell me? Why are you hurting yourself like this?" She asked

I look down and i felt my cheeks getting wet

Am I....crying?

I shook my head and closed my eyes trying to stop it from falling

No! I shouldn't cry.....why am I so weak...

"Chaeyoung..."

She held my shoulders and stared at me in the eyes

"Please...tell me if you have some problems... don't deal with them on your own...you have me. You have us. Me and your father" She hugged me

I'm really thankful to have a mother like you...

"I'm sorry mom and thank you" I hugged her back

We pulled away from the hug and she chuckled

"You're lucky that your father isn't here and I'm the only one who knew about this" She said

"Who told you about this mom??" I asked

"It's not important sweetheart and I'm glad that person told me about this because I know you will never tell me until I figure it out"

Well... she's not wrong.

It went silent for a while until she called me

"Chaeyoung"

"Yes mom?" I answered

"I think it's for the best if you cut ties with Jisoo and you should say away from her. She'll just hurt you even more" She said

"But mom...I can't..."

"Why?" She asked

Because I still love her and I don't think I can take it if I can't see her anymore and if she will find someone new to love instead of me...

"Because I need her help to locate Joy mom. I need to find that girl and ask why she pretended to be my sister....and I need to ask her about the flashdrive that was sent to me" I said

I mean what I said was technically still the truth so... it's not bad to leave out some information right?

"Chaeyoung...maybe you shouldn't-" I cut her off

"Mom please! Just this time and then after we find Joy....that's the time that I'll avoid her" My mom sighed and glanced at me

"Fine. But promise me that if she ever hurts you, you will stay away from her...okay?" She said

"Yes mom... I'll try" I quietly said the last two words

"Okay Chaeyoung. Just be careful okay? And please tell your father about this. I don't want him to know about this from other people

"Okay mom I'll tell father about this....soon"

"Hyeri"

"Chae! I missed you! How are you?" She asked while smiling at me

"Are you the one who told my mom about me and Jisoo?" I asked

Me , Hyeri , Jisoo and Joy are the only people who knew about this. I don't think it's Joy since my mom doesn't believe in strangers. It's definitely not Jisoo since she ask my consent first before saying it to my parents. That leaves to Hyeri and I'm sure it's her since she's not a stranger to my mom and she kept on pushing me to tell my parents about Jisoo's doing's.

"Okay look I can explain-"

"Why did you tell her Hyeri? You could've had waited for me to say it. I can tell it to her" I said and she shook her head

"We know that's a lie Chaeyoung. You will never tell your mom about it so I decided to tell her myself" She said

"But why? You could have asked me first about it before telling it to my mom" I asked curiously

"Because I know you won't let me Chaeyoung. You don't want me to do it because you still love Jisoo and you don't want your parents to think badly of her" She said and sighed in defeat

"Look. I'm sorry Chaeyoung. I really am... Can I know what your mother told you?" She asked

"Okay...and apology accepted. You're my friend Hyeri and I know you don't mean any harm but please tell me first next time before you do something that has to do with my problems" I said and she nodded

'Friend huh? I will change that Chaeyoung because we deserve to become more than just friends' Hyeri mumbled but I didn't hear it

"Yes Chaeyoung and again I'm sorry about what I did..."
