Chapter 4: Bridget

My parents weren’t exactly happy about me going to London. Their argument was that they barely know Logan, which was a total lie. It wasn’t until Logan’s dad called that they agreed. And Simon Cowell is very intimidating.

Currently, I am sitting on my couch, a magazine on my lap. Let me just say, it is really weird seeing your best friend in a magazine.

Logan had flown out to LA two weeks ago and got to meet Hunter Hayes. There are pictures of the two of them together. Everybody is calling Logan Hunter’s mystery girl. But I’m pretty sure Logan wouldn’t date him. She talks about Nathan from The Wanted too much.

“Bridget! You ready?” Haley asked, walking into my living room.

I hid the magazine in my purse and turned around. “Yeah. Let’s get my stuff in your car.”

Haley and I got my stuff in the car and soon we were on our way to the airport. Thankfully, this early in the morning, there was little to no traffic.

While Haley parked the car, I found our boarding passes and passports. It didn’t hit me until we walked into the airport. I looked at Haley, “This is really happening.”

Haley just smiled and said, “This is going to be an amazing trip.”

I got through security without a problem. But when I looked back at Haley, I saw the security guard looking through her bag. Haley did not look happy.

My phone started ringing and when I looked, I saw Shannon was calling me.

Me: Where are you?

Shannon: We just left my house.

Me: Did you forget?

Shannon: …No…

Me: How could you forget when you packed last night?

Shannon: I was tired! Anyway, where are you?

Me: I just went through security. Haley’s bag is being checked.

Shannon: Why?

Me: How would I know? Security checks at airports tend to be at random times to random people.

Shannon: Well, I’ll let you go and see you in about an hour.

Me: See ya!

Haley finally came over and glared at the floor. Then she looked at me and asked, “Do I look like a terrorist to you?”

I laughed. “No, you don’t.”

Haley and I walked to our terminal and as we sat down, Haley asked a question I had hoped she wouldn’t.

“What was the magazine you hid this morning?”

“I didn’t have a magazine,” I said nervously.

“Yes, you did,” Haley responded.

I sighed and grabbed the magazine from my purse. I showed Haley the cover and she gasped. She had the same reaction as me this morning.

“Don’t tell Shannon and Kersten. I was going to confront Logan when we got to London,” I told her.

Haley nodded. “Do you think she’s really dating him?”

“I don’t think so. She likes Nathan too much. And if she really wanted to, she could meet him.”

Haley looked back at the magazine, but then quickly put it back in my purse. “They’re here.”

We stood up as Shannon and Kersten walked over.

“You were almost late,” Haley spoke up.

Kersten sighed. “We know.”

We all boarded the plane and I took my seat next to Shannon. She looked at me and asked, “Do you think we’ll meet The Wanted?”

I shrugged. “I don’t think so. I mean, they aren’t signed to Simon’s record label.”

She looked back out the window just as the plane took off. London was only 10 hours away. Sleep came easily to me.

Once the plane landed, Shannon went to go call Logan and see when she would be here. We then walked over to the baggage claim.

I grabbed my final suitcase just as I saw Logan tackle Shannon. It was definitely something Logan would do.

Logan came over and hugged Haley, Kersten, and me. She looked at us and smiled, “Let’s go. My dad has a surprise for us.”

In the car, we danced and sang like complete idiots; probably scaring some people. It was really funny.

At the house, it was really hard not to just stand there and gape. It was huge! We all walked inside and my jaw dropped. I can’t believe it.

Shannon broke the silence by asking, "Logan, are you seeing what I'm seeing?"

“Hello, we are The Wanted.”

A/N: Here is another chapter for you. I am currently working on chapter 5 and it should be up within the next few days.
