My patience was being tried by the boys of One Direction. Harry and Louis would not stop teasing me over the fact that I had a boy’s name and that even though I was born in England; and since I spent every summer here, I was raised in Michigan and had an American accent.

I was saved from any more torture when my phone started ringing. I looked at the caller ID and sighed in relief. It was Shannon.

Me: Hello?

Shannon: Hey, we just landed.

Me: Okay, I’m about…15 minutes away.

Shannon: Kay! See you then.

I stood up and quickly made my way to Dad’s office. I found him going through paper work.

“Dad, their plane just landed. Do you think I can borrow the car to take them to the house?” I asked.

“Sure, I’ll meet you there. I just have to finish up some work. Your surprise will be waiting for you when you get there.”

I muttered a quiet thank you and grabbed the keys from his outstretched hand. I raced to the elevator, a happy smile planted on my face. I couldn’t wait to show my best friends around London.

“Where are you going?” Louis asked.

“None of your business,” I said and ran past him and the others.

I found the car and started my drive to the airport. And like I promised Shannon, I was there in 15 minutes. I found them by the baggage claim.

I ran towards them and hugged Shannon from behind. After I hugged the rest of my friends I said, “Let’s go. My dad has a surprise for us.”

After we got the luggage in the car, I got in the driver’s side. It took everyone a minute to figure out who would seat up front with me. This was a driving experience I’m sure they never thought would happen to them. Even I’m still getting used to driving it.

We spent the drive listening to songs by The Wanted and dancing like complete idiots. At every stop light, people walking by the car would stare at us; some would laugh and others would glare. It was actually pretty funny.

Another 20 minutes passed and we pulled up to the house where I spent my summers and most school breaks. The girls were speechless. Once the shock wore off, we grabbed their bags and made our way inside.

I was the last to walk in and when I did, I stopped dead in my tracks. You have got to be kidding me.

“Logan, are you seeing what I’m seeing?” Shannon asked after a moment.

“Hello, we are The Wanted.”

I looked at all my friends. Haley and Kersten were gripping each other’s arms and looking at Tom and Siva. Shannon was about ready to pass out, and Max was eyeing her. Bridget’s jaw was dropped and she and Jay were staring at each other in disbelief. As for me, I was trying hard not to glare at Nathan. He still looked apologetic when he saw it was me.

“What are you guys doing in my house?” I asked.

Nathan was the one to answer. “We…we got a c…call from Simon. H…he told us he wanted t…to surprise his da…daughter.”

If I weren’t incredibly ticked at Nathan right now, I might actually find how nervous he is cute. But I was angry with him, so I just glared harder.

I sighed. “Let me show the girls to their rooms and then we’ll talk.”

“There’s something else. Simon said we would be living here as well for the 5 days you’re here,” Jay added, still not looking away from Bridget.
