Kiara Solveig

Former Queen of the Solveig Empire

"It has been three weeks since you said you would contact us again when you had more information. Yet we're heard nothing from you all this time! Tell me King Kalo do you know anything at all, or is some part of you hoping my daughter never returns?" My voice was cruel, harsh to even my own ears, but the words I spoke were deserving, I expected more from the second more powerful Empire in the High Houses.

We had put our trust in him finding our daughter, had not put our full effort in trying to track down the ships that took her, because we believed the Morgasian's were doing all they could to find her, instead we had focused on trying to find information about the Nisha, possible weaknesses, anything about them that could help us in our war against them, a war that might as well be already loss if my daughter was dead. "I assure you, Queen Kiara that I am using all the resources available to me to trace the ships that took her, but it has proved difficult to do so. My ships that were sent to track them were recently found destroyed, I know I am getting close, I just need a little bit more time." Not once did he respond to my allegations that maybe he didn't want my daughter to return, but then again, I didn't really believe that was the case with him.

No, I believe he truly cared for my Alessandra, it was only something I said to irritate him into trying harder. "I am not sure she has much more time left, we've received no news about her since she was taken. Days are one thing, but weeks are entirely different, weeks of torture are enough to break someone, who knows what she is going through right now." I was a warrior, I was fully aware of what an enemy was willing to do to break someone and find out everything they knew.

Alessandra was a valuable person to them, by her presence alone I imagine she could make three to four of these mighty empires surrender to spare her from death, not that my daughter would ever truly wish that, a great leader is always willing to suffer for their people, but a great leader also inspires people to want to suffer in their place so that their leader didn't have to. "I've had no luck in finding any of those infected people you mentioned, the second we get a tip about a possible one, they seem to disappear, it is very frustrating." King Ronan looked annoyed at this entire situation, and we all were. We were trying to prepare for a war against an enemy we didn't know, an enemy we hadn't truly fought before. One we didn't know the full capabilities of, or what destruction their weapons could do to our forces.

Though if the weapon plans given to the previous Trennix ruler were any indication, they were much more advanced than us. We may not be able to beat them in sheer power, but we had one thing they didn't, we were working together to conquer them, and they were working as one individual, beings that fed off of fear could not trust someone else, it wasn't in their nature, and if they feared their ruler, they wouldn't be brave enough to do anything without his permission, which hindered them.

A weakness we would take advantage of once we got the chance. "I have successfully managed to capture a few of the infected as you call them, but they refuse to speak to me no matter what we do to them, often choosing to either die or encourage more punishment, how can we fight enemies that aren't afraid of pain or death?" For once Asriel Rindin had a point, but it was one I had long already came up with.

"That's simple, they are afraid of something, we just have to figure out what it is. To live without fear, is to live without caution, and if they didn't have any caution, they wouldn't be nearly so good at conquering Empires. We merely have to find their weak point and press until they stop screaming." The room is surprisingly silent after hearing my words, and looking back on it I realize that they were probably a tad too violent for these entitled children.

How I missed being among my own people, who would properly understand and appreciate my taste for violence, not cruel violence without a reason or cause, justified violence that was needed to ensure Alessandra returned back to us. I would spare nothing and no one in my quest to bring her back here alive, I understood she would be harmed, mentally or physically, weeks with the enemy would ensure that, but as long as she was alive, she would be able to heal, to survive as Solveig's always did.
