"Alright!" Rinn and Naruto said as they exited the villages, "Let's go!"
"What are you two so excited about?" Sakura asked dryly.
"Because we've never been outside the village before!" Naruto said, excitedly looking here and there.
"Yea, dattebayo!"
"Hey, will a kid like these two really be capable of this mission?"
Rinn stopped cheering, and grew tick marks. She glared at the man. "Listen here you drunk old geezer -"
"Don't worry, because I, a Jounin, will be accompanying you," Kakashi cut her off, "And Rinn isn't as weak as she seems,"
"I'm going to take that as a compliment," Rinn grinned.
"Hey, what about me?!" Naruto asked loudly.
"You're as bad as you look," Naruto anime-fell.
"There, there, Naru-chan," Rinn patted his back.
He turned to the geezer and pointed at him. "Hey, geezer, don't underestimate ninjas! I'm a great ninja! I'm the ninja who will recieve the title of Hokage one day. My name's Uzumaki Naruto. Remember it!"
"The Hokage is the village's number one ninja right? I don't think a guy like you can become one,"
Rinn sweatdropped as Naruto yelled back.
"I'm going to kill you! No, no, let me at him at least once!"
----
As Kakashi explained about the different villages, Rinn listened, but still kept on guard.
As all of the others doubted the Hokage, Rinn already knew all this. She had made the mistake of mentioning how lame the old Third Hokage-ji was to Guy-sensei. He had given her an hour long speech on how 'youthful' the Hokage, and all the other Kage were.
"You all just doubted the Hokage, didn't you?"
Naruto and Sakura shook their heads. "No,"
"I didn't," Rinn announced loudly, raising her hand, "I already knew this stuff!"
"Don't worry," Kakashi said, patting Sakura's head, "You won't have any ninja battles in a C-ranked mission,"
Rinn frowned. She had a bad feeling about this 'C-ranked' mission.
They walked and walked. They crossed a small bridge, and passed through a small clearing with a water puddle and a bird was flying close by.
Wait. Rinn paused. She could sense two slightly concealed chakra-signatures in the. . . water puddle?
She glanced at Kakashi. He caught her gaze, and shook his head slightly. She blinked, then gave a minuscule nod in return. She wasn't entirely sure why Kakashi-sensei wanted to wait, but she had her orders.
Just after they passed the puddle, Rinn felt the two people's chakra flaring dangerously out of it.
She whipped around, as their chains wrapped around Kakashi and ripped him apart. Rinn would have screamed in horror if she hadn't sensed his chakra-signature nearby, in one of the trees.
She took out a kunai. The ninja appeared behind Naruto.
She was about to step in, when suddenly she felt a pang of fear. This was the first time she was facing an actual enemy, and they looked quite skilled, too. What if she died? What if Naruto died? Rin shook it off. No, she thought, I need to do something, or else someone will get hurt.

Loyalty | Uzumaki Rinn
