Rinn followed Sasuke into a small clearing, wondering what training Kakashi had for them.
"Alright, training starts now," Kakashi announced as she took her place next to Naruto.
"First, we will begin with the review of the ninja's basic source of power. Understanding chakra is essential."
"We know that," Sasuke - the 'oh so great' - Uchiha scoffed.
"Yeah, 'ttebayo, a long time ago we learnt about, uh, catra!" Naruto proclaimed proudly.
Rinn facepalmed, sighing. "Chakra, Naruto,"
Naruto smiled and giggled nervously.
"Alright Naruto," Sakura said, seemingly having had enough, "I'll explain it so that even you can understand."
Rinn frowned. Even Naruto can understand? She didn't appreciate the way Sakura said that like Naruto was some idiot. He didn't know this stuff because the stupid Academy teachers always ignored them if they asked any doubts. She herself only knew all this because Guy-sensei had shouted it into her ear repeatedly while making her do finger-push-ups.
As Sakura began explained, Rinn zoned out, thinking of the huge bowl of ramen she was gonna eat when she got back to Konoha.
There were so many boring explanations going on that Rinn was basically falling asleep standing.
Suddenly a kunai was thrown to her feet. She jumped into a fighting stance, looking around frantically for an enemy.
"Where's the enemy! I definitely wasn't sleeping but where's the attack coming from, dattebayo?!" Rinn asked, slightly confused that she could sense Kakshi-sensei's chakra but couldn't see him.
"Rinn," she looked up, to see Kakashi standing upside down on a tree-branch, regarding her sternly. "Were you listening to anything I was just saying?"
"Um. . . yes?" Seeing Kakashi's eye grow sterner, she scratched the back of her head sheepishly. "Okay, I didn't listen, but I knew all that stuff about chakra, 'ttebayo!"
"And what do you think we're doing for training today?" Kakashi asked dryly.
Rinn's eyebrows knit together, trying to figure it out. Chakra. . . Kakashi standing on a tree. . .
Her eyes widened. "Tree climbing,"
"Correct," Kakashi said, analyzing her reaction. Guy ought to have covered basic chakra-control by now.
Rinn's eye twitched. This damn exercise. Chakra-control was always her weakness, but she had sort of figured out this exercise after two days of constant training. The torture Guy-sensei put her through, of being banned from ramen till she could pull off the exercise. It still made her bitter.
She picked up her kunai as Naruto and the others got all fired up. She walked towards the tree as they ran towards it, concentrating chakra into her feet with practiced precision and stepping on the trunk. And walking right up.
As Sakura sat on a branch and received praise, Rinn climbed up even further, reaching the tip of the tree.
"Hey, where's Rinn, dattebayo?!" she heard Naruto ask from below.
"I'm up here, 'ttebayo!" she called down.
The others gaped at her. Kakashi smiled slightly under his mask. Of course Guy had covered it. Now that he thought about it, Guy had bragged about a 'student' of his figuring out the exercise in two day of training. At the time Kakashi had thought that this 'student' was just a figment of Guy's youthful imagination, but it seems that he was mistaken.
"Well, looks like you can do it as well, Rinn," Kakashi said, turning to Sasuke and Naruto. "Looks like Rinn can do it as well, boys,"
Both boys grit their teeth. Naruto couldn't let his sister surpass him. Sasuke couldn't let 'these losers' be better than him, and Uchiha. He couldn't kill his brother that way. [A/n: ITACHIIIIIi T~T]
Rinn grinned, jumping off, making all of them shout out in alarm. Even Sasuke. So, he did care. How nice.
She landed lightly, a trick taught to her by Guy sensei.
"I'm going to sleep." she declared, laying against a trunk and immediately falling asleep

SO -
I AM SOOOOOOOO SORRY.
I've had so much stuff to do these few weeks so like I haven't gotten time and yea.
ANyway, I know this chapter is pretty short and slightly rushed, but I'll make the next one longer. I kind of want to finish off this arc so we can get on the Chunin exams. I have got some SHIT planned, oh I do *cue manical evil laughter*.
I'll try to keep updates consistent, but I can't guarantee it. Hopefully ya'll won't abandon me.
LOve you,
Author-chan.
P.S. Special thanks to @Nurtxi for commenting yesterday, which is what reminded me to write. THANK YOU<3

Loyalty | Uzumaki Rinn
