I Have a plan

Peter

The summer after high school graduation was peaceful; Peter didn't have to be spider-man all the time, New York for the first time in ages was peaceful. A robbery once in a while and that was being handled by NYPD without the need of a superhero all the time. So Peter got to spend his summer with his family, friends and his girlfriend, Michelle. They have been dating for a year now and their relationship was solid and beautiful.

One month left until they start in NYU and Peter was in the verge of a breakdown because there was this idea in his head and he had it ever since MJ kissed him on that bridge a year ago, when literally his heart already planned their whole future together.

He wanted to ask her to move in together. To find a small apartment near the university so he can wake up next to her in the morning and laying in her hands every night. But he was terrified to ask her. What if she says no? What if she thinks they are moving too fast? What if she says yes not because she actually wants to live with him but because she is Michelle and he knows her, he knows that she would anything to make him happy even in her own expense. All those thoughts were making him more and more nervous everyday and he knew he had to do something or else he would lose his mind.

May was always the only person he could go for advice and always knew what to tell him to ease his mind, so he decided to ask her. They were sitting on the couch watching a movie alone tonight when he decided that it was now or never.

" May, can I ask you something?" he said and she could see how anxious he was and how his voice was breaking

" anything sweetheart, what's going on?"

He took a deep breath and continued " So see, I know that I got accepted to NYU and I don't need to move out because its unnecessary since we have a house here and all but..uh.. I was just thinking that I want to..um I want to live with MJ you see. And I don't know how to ask her or if I should ask her at all" he said and he run out of breath so he just stopped and looked at May. He thought that she would be surprised or at least concern but she looked at him with a big soft smile.

"Peter you love MJ for so long now, and you two are practically adults, and you are in love and it's the most normal thing in the world to want to live with her. And I'm sure she wants that too. So just ask her"

" But we are together for a year, what if she doesn't feel like I do? I don't want to make her feel awkward or worse, lose her." Peter said and he heard May laughing.

"Mayy, its not funny, I'm serious here" he whined

"Peter, MJ has been crazy for you before you even notice her, you said it yourself .So what makes you think she doesn't feel the same? Just ask her"

And somehow May was right because he was blind for a year not noticing how MJ was feeling and because he was an idiot he lost a year that could have been together. So he decided to not waste another minute. He knew how precious time is and how we should cherish the people that we have in our lives, spend time with them and love them. If only he had more time with his parents or Tony...

That night when he went to bed, planed how to tell MJ. Because of course he had to make a plan, he was Peter, he wanted to be perfect, to make her happy. He will take her for dinner tomorrow, somewhere romantic but private and he knew exactly where. So he stand up from bed, turn on the light in his desk and start writing his plan.

1. Put a table and 2 chairs in the roof of your house

2. Add lights and candles everywhere

3. Cook her dinner (something easy. Don't burn it!!)

4. Tell her how you feel!!!!!!

And then took one more look at his list, took his phone and texted MJ.

"hi baby, are you asleep?" she is probably reading a Jane Austen book he though. But she replied to him right away.

" hi nerd ;) nope, my parents pissed me off again and i cant sleep. What are you doing up this late? Its past midnight, you told me you didn't have patrol today. Are you okay? are you hurt?" he could feel her panic through her text, he knew how MJ was always so worried when he was out as spider-man and how she always wanted to know if he had a patrol and never leaving for patrol without at least texting her. He loved her so much for that but he also hated himself for making her go through that all the time. He didn't have time to text her back to calm her down and she immediately called him.

"hey are you okay?" her voice was the softest most beautiful thing in his world.

"Em, baby, yes I'm fine, I wasn't on patrol today, don't worry. I just texted you to ask you on a date tomorrow night" he said and he could hear her breathing slowing down

"You are such a dork, but yes I will go out with you. But I will also see you tomorrow morning right? You said you were coming for breakfast" she said and he didn't forget about their plans for breakfast but he had to cancel so he can prepare for their night.

"oh yeah, sorry Em, can we cancel that? I have umm.. something to do in the morning"

"Peter what are you not telling me? You sure you are not hurt right?" God he loved her so much and he couldn't understand how he was so lucky to have her in his life.

"I'm not Em, I promise. I just want to make preparations for our date. Don't ask more pleaseee, you will see tomorrow" he said and he softened his voice trying to make her melt as he knew she was always soft when he talked to her like that. And it worked.

"I hate you so much" she said with a smile in her voice

"goodnight Em , I will pick you up tomorrow at eight...oh and I love you too" he said laughing

After a while he drift off to sleep, dreaming of their common life together.
