Friday night rolls around and Kat finds herself back in the Elite's locker room like usual. She is the one to show up first, Matt and Nick usually being late anyway.
Kat is in the middle of digging through her bag for her rings gear so she can change when someone knocks on the door.
"Come in!" Kat gives a small shout, her eyes still on her bag.
"Kat?" Adam comes through the door and shuts it behind him. "What are you doing in here?" He asks her.
"This is The Elite's locker room." Kat stands back up straight for a second. "I'm a member of The Elite last time I checked." She reminds him.
"Right." Adam chuckles, setting his bag down. "I just figured that you'd have your own locker room." He shrugs casually.
"Nope. We all share this one. Except for Ken of course." Kat shakes her head. "Why? Is there a problem?" Her brows crease as she glances at Adam.
"Problem? No." Adam shakes his head. "It's all good here, Kat." He insists.
"Good. If you need me I'll be in the other room changing." Kat nods and picks up her bag.
Adam nods back at her and watches as she disappears into the next room. He waits until the door clicks shut before he moves again. With Kat changing in the next room, Adam pulls open his bag and decides to do the same instead of waiting.
"Cole, you decent?" Kat cracks the door to the other room open a bit when she's done changing.
"Yeah, yours good," Adam calls back casually.
Kat steps back into the room just as Adam is getting his boots out of his bag. She walks over to one of the benches in the room and sets her bag back down.
"You know I dig the jacket," Kat comments casually.
"Yeah? Thanks." Adam grins. "Britt doesn't really like it. Says that it should have some more color."
"Well, Britt does like her fair share of flashy stuff." Kat laughs a little. "Most of her gear is all flashy and stunning." She reminds him.
"Yeah, and a pain in the ass to wash," Adam mumbles to himself. "Anyway, we still on for recording for your twitch channel?" He changes the subject fast.
"Yeah!" Kat nods. "I don't see why not."
Kat and Adam fall into a casual conversation about Kat's plans for the channel when Matt and Nick finally show up for work.
"Oh! You two finally decided to show up, huh?" Kat jokes.
"You know we do have lives outside of work, right?" Matt quips back at her.
"Oh, how your words hurt me, Matthew." Kat rolls her eyes. "Just get changed. I'm gonna go pay Ken a visit before the show starts." She gets up and walks to the door.
"Alright." Nick nods and waves her off.
Kat slips out of the locker room and turns to head to Kenny's locker room. She doesn't get far when she runs into Britt.
"Baker." Kat acknowledges her assumed enemy with a nod.
"Katie," Britt replies sourly. "You know I really don't appreciate you inviting my boyfriend to hang out." She informs Kat.
"Okay, and?" Kat scoffs. "Are you that afraid that I'll take your man, Britt?" She laughs. "News flash, Baker. I don't want him."
"Yeah, you keep telling yourself that," Britt replies. "If you don't want him, Kat. Then why are you always trying to get with him?"
"Get with him?" Kat laughs again. "I invited him to play a video game with. From the comfort of his own home." She shakes her head. "What are we gonna do? Have sex over a discord call?" She scoffs again.
"I wouldn't put it past you." Britt rolls her eyes. "Just stay away from him. Or else." She warns Kat.
"Or else what? You'll kick my ass?" Kat laughs again. "Get over yourself, Baker. And move out of my way." She pushes past her harshly.
Kat continues on her way and finally ends up making it to Kenny's locker room. She finds him inside talking casually with Don.
"Kat, what brings you over here?" Kenny greets her with a smile.
"Boys are getting changed in the locker room." Kat walks over to them. "So I figured that I'd come and see what you two are up to." She shrugs and sits down.
"Always a pleasure seeing you, Katie," Don replies with a friendly smile.
"Naturally, Don. So, what are you two up to tonight?" She asks both Don and Kenny.
"Not much." Kenny shrugs. "Mostly just hanging out. Making plans."
"Exciting." Kat nods. "You need any company for that or should I head back to Matt and Nick's?" She asks.
"We're good here, Kat. You can head on back." Kenny insists.
"Alright." Kat nods. "I'll see you when we link up for our little collaboration then." She nods and gets back up.
Kat head back out to The Elite's locker room and knocks before she enters. When she comes in she finds Britt talking with Adam in the corner.
"What's she doing here?" Kat walks over to Nick quietly.
"I don't know. Arguing with Adam about something." Nick shrugs.
Kat glances back over at Adam and Britt, both of them looking a bit upset. Normally she'd just mind her own business. But it's about time for her and the rest of The Elite to be out in the ring.
"Hey..." Kat cautiously approaches the pair. "I don't mean to be a bother, Adam. But we're due in the ring in ten." She informs him.
"Stay out of this!" Britt snaps at her.
"Britt, knock it off." Adam snaps back. "Look, we'll talk about this later, okay? I've gotta go." He touches her arm gently before he walks off. "Sorry about that Kat." He also apologizes to Kat for Britt's yelling.
"No problem." Kat shrugs. "Come on, we better get going." She gestures for Adam to hustle since Matt and Nick are already at the door.
Britt fumes in silence as Kat and Adam walk off without regard for her. It's bad enough that Kat is already a pain in her ass. But now she's got to deal with Adam acting like her friend. God forbid something more than that.
"Hey, you alright Adam?" Kat notices that he's on edge as they make their way out to the ring.
"Hmm? Yeah, I'm alright." Adam nods. "Just a stupid fight. We always have them once in a while." He shrugs. "No big deal."
"Okay." Kat nods. "It...it wasn't about me by chance was it?" She hates it but has to ask.
"No." Adam shakes his head a little too fast for Kat's liking. She can tell he's lying.
"Alright." Kat nods again, deciding that it's best to drop the subject. "Come on then, let's get out there and have some fun." She attempts to lighten the mood.
"Yeah! Let's have some fun." Adam chuckles with a small grin. "We've got video games in our future anyway. And I am so going to beat your ass." He jokes.
"We'll see about that." Kat laughs with him.
