Love the Darkness

Prologue

I sit calmly as Lilly and James panic due to the man at the door. Lilly grabs Harry and runs up the stairs leaving me downstairs to watch the man who is my father die. I study the snake man as he moves up the stairs, his dark energy calls to me. I follow behind him thankful for the ability to walk around without being heard. I listen as the woman who should be my mother beg for my brother's life. Then she does the unthinkable, she offers my life for my twin. The snake man flicks his wand and I feel nothing as she lays there dead. I hear my brother crying and step into the room. The snake man spots me and takes a double-take. I knew I looked nothing like my twin and that I was thankful.

"You do not look like you belong here little one," the snake man says.

"No, I do not," I say with a shrug. I was tired of being locked away and abused for everything my twin did.

"I will take you with me. My son would love someone to play with." I give him a smile taking his boney hand. I watch as he flicks his wand towards my twin, but something goes wrong. I watch as the man who offered me freedom falls. I feel something stir inside me and squeeze his hand. I refuse to let the first person who was nice to me die. I scream as I feel my body begins to glow. I hear him take a breath as I fall on the floor. He was safe that was all that mattered.

I know the prologue is short, but I promise the actual chapters will be longer. I will not be following the normal plotline. This will also eventually have smut. I already have an idea of who should be together but if you have any suggestions leave them in the comments. This WILL be a dark romance.
