Love the Darkness

Chapter 6

Hailey

I spend the next few days splitting my time between everyone. Narcissa has taken Ginny under her wing and has decided to teach her how to be the perfect pureblood lady. Blaise is spending more time with the guys mastering his skills in dueling. By the time Thursday rolls around we have all fallen into a routine. Ginny and I are sitting in the tea room with Narcissa when I decide it is time to bring up the issues I am having.

"I was wondering if there was a way for me to balance out my magic before I complete the bond," I say to Narcissa. She thinks for a moment before summoning a house-elf to grab something for her. Two boxes are set on the table.

"These are used when a mated pair find each other at a young age. They allow the couple to impart some of their magic, keeping the connection strong without the bond. It also has a birth control charm specifically made for soul mates." She hands one of the boxes to me and the other to Ginny. I chuckle as Ginny blushes and opens the box. Inside sits a beautiful ring. The band is black with a large green emerald sitting in the center. "All you have to do is have your soul mate hold it and push some of their magic into it. Hailey, it will be able to link all three of you."

"Thank you," I say still looking at the ring. Hopefully, with the bracelet and the ring, I will have more control. We spend the rest of the time talking about different things. Once we finish Ginny and I decided to head to the training room. We hadn't spent much time just us and I was beginning to miss it. We attempt to practice together but end up sitting on the floor laughing.

"Do you think the rest of the year will be better?" She asks after a while.

"It better be. I don't know if I can keep from killing someone if it doesn't." I say shrugging.

"Do you think we could get him out of the school by then?"

"The dark lord is taking his place in Wizengamot as Lord Slytherin. The goblins have helped with all of his paperwork. With him being the only decedent of Hogwarts on the board he will have more say in what happens to it. We also plan to allow small bits about Dumbledore to be released, helping to turn the public against him." I say my smile growing.

"That is perfect." She laughs.

By Friday I feel better. Mattheo and Draco were more than happy to impart part of their magic into the room. Narcissa helps me with my hair and makeup as I put on a silk and lace black dress. I was excited to finally be announced but the nerves were beginning to get to me. Not many people knew about me, and it would be a test of their loyalty to the dark lord if they could trust his judgment. I wouldn't have control over the death eaters, but they would need to listen to me if I gave a command, same with my people and the dark lord. A knock at my door lets me know it is time to go. I walk through the halls with Mattheo on my right and Draco on my left. We stop at a set of large double doors. I can hear Tom announce my presence and I mask my emotions before stepping inside. I stop beside Tom as Mattheo, and Draco takes their seats. I take a look at everyone, their loyalty to their lord shines bright.

"I would like everyone to meet the new dark lady." Most look shocked but don't say anything as they clap. "She runs her own group, but we will be working closely together. If I am unable to be reached you may address her." I give Tom a nod to let him know there isn't a traitor among the ranks and take my seat beside him.

"My group has their own mark but due to most of my members being from either light families or undercover the mark fades when not in use. I will be providing you their names in case you run into them." I explain. I had out a list and hold my mask tight as Nott Sr. sees his grandson's name. Theo had worried he would be upset he wasn't following the dark lord but I assured him that his position in my inner circle would appease him.

"My lord if I may, did you know about my grandson?" He asks.

"I did, he has done well earning his place," Tom says. I spot the small smile on Nott Sr's face before he hides it. After that, I listen to the meeting adding suggestions where I felt needed. This was Tom's group, and I wouldn't overstep. Once the plan is in place we stand. We apparate outside the wards of Azkaban and I smile. It doesn't take long for two death eaters to create a hole in the wards for us to enter. Mattheo and Draco stay close to me as we walk in. It isn't much to stun the few Aurors around. Most believed the dementors kept this place safe so no need to risk having human guards also. We all go to our separate cells to retrieve our prisoners. We were told to grab Rodolphus Lestrange. It doesn't take us long to reach the cell but find two dementors floating outside the door. I step forward before either of my men can stop me.

"I as the mistress of Death command you to leave." I make sure to infuse my words with magic and both of them fly off. Mattheo grabs me and glares. I just shrug and open the door.

"The Dark Lord has sent us to retrieve you," Draco says entering the room before I can.

"Finally." His voice is weak and raspy and we use the pork key given to us to return to the manor. Narcissa runs over and begins examining him. Once she is satisfied she waves him off. Ginny comes over and hands me the diary. I look at what is written and my anger rises.

Mattheo

The room drops in temperature and I look at Draco. His eyes go wide and we turn to Hailey. Most of the room is watching her. She hands the book back to Ginny before turning to us.

"The twins will be here shortly. Their cover has been blown." I curse and move towards her when I notice her eyes have gone almost completely black. She doesn't acknowledge me turning to my father. "We need to talk." He nods and I follow them to the office.

"The twins overheard the order talking and were caught writing to me. Hermione was able to warn them before they could be captured." She explains and I curse. What did they hear that was so important that they would risk their cover. We follow her out of the office and wait for the twins to arrive. Her magic is still crackling around her and I know she won't calm down until she sees them whole. It isn't long before the twins walk through the door and they immediately hug their sister and Hailey. Jealousy hits me but I hold back. Hailey wouldn't be happy if I heart one of her members.

"What happened?" Hailey asks coming to stand between me and Draco.

"The order was talking about how you are too dark. If they can't persuade you to their side then they will eliminate the threat." One of them says. I have no idea how she can tell them apart.

"Very well, Ginny please show your brothers to their room. We will meet tomorrow." They all nod and leave us standing alone in the room. I grab her hand and turn her towards me. She buries her head into me and I rub her back.
