"When I say you are the best tattoo artist in Seoul," Namjoon flexed his freshly-inked bicep in front of the mirror and winked at the tattoo artist, "I really mean it"
Seokjin rolled his eyes and walked over to the cash register and handed his customer his bill.
"You better pay me in full this time"Namjoon grinned and took out his wallet, "Relax Jinnie, I'm not going anywhere." He handed Seokjin two bills worth ₩10,000 each, "I love you too much to find a new tattoo parlor"
"Get lost before I throw you out myself" Seokjin stated with a bored face.
"Tell Yoongi hyung I said hi" Namjoon smirked once and walked out, leaving an irritated Seokjin behind.
Kim Seokjin sat down in his recliner and sighed. He was 25, a double major college graduate, a bachelor with zero dating experience, and no intentions of finding himself a partner. He ran a tiny tattoo parlor with his best friend since middle school, Min Yoongi. He was earning enough to live a decent life and was pretty satisfied with how things were going.
The only problem in his life was a certain boy who had started visiting his shop almost every week for the past year or so. Kim Namjoon. He was a college dropout and a tattoo maniac. Seokjin had nothing against him except for the fact that Namjoon would constantly hit on him even after Seokjin made it clear that he wasn't interested in dating anyone at the moment. Seokjin was handsome and attractive and that's the only reason he believed people approached him and that really annoyed him. Can't they see him for who he is rather than his insanely beautiful face?
"Are you done with Namjoon?" A small boy with pale skin poked his head from the back of the storeroom.
"Yeah, I don't know when his tattoo addiction is going to end"
"Don't bother about him. I've cleaned the needles for your 5 pm appointment" Yoongi said.
Seokjin glanced at the watch, he had thirty more minutes before he would have to start working again.
"Can we grab something to eat? I'm starving"
Yoongi nodded. "I'm down for pizza"
....
It was almost midnight when the two friends finally closed the shop. Seokjin doesn't understand why tattoos are a trend among young people these days. Making tattoos is his job but he has no idea why they are so keen on getting their skin marked like this.
"You really need to get a tattoo yourself. Have you seen a tattoo artist who has zero tattoos?" Yoongi spoke up.
Seokjin looked up from behind the cash counter, "I don't like them" and went back to dividing today's earnings.
Yoongi mumbled a low weird under his breath before locking the shelves.
"11 appointments each for tomorrow. Rest well dude" Seokjin patted his friend's shoulders who smiled in return before the two boys parted ways.
Seokjin lived with his younger brother, Kim Taehyung, who was currently a college student. Their parents refused to support their kid's career choice that's why Seokjin moved out with his brother five years ago where he reconciled with Yoongi and opened a small parlor. The only reason he was using his art degree to create designs on people's skin rather than putting his paintings for exhibitions was to pay for Taehyung's tuition fee. Seokjin is a good brother who would sacrifice everything he had to see his baby brother smile.
He closed the door as silently as possible, not trying to wake Taehyung up, and tiptoed to his room. They lived in a small apartment with just two rooms but it was enough for the two of them.
Seokjin took a quick shower and changed into comfortable clothes. As soon as his head hit the soft pillow, sleep took over him. Tomorrow was a busy day for the tattoo artist.
