Mosskit x Kit!reader

It was a cold leaf-bare, your sister, Scarlettkit had her life snatched away by a hawk a few nights ago, so the den had been extended and more hidden. "Psst, (Y/K/N)!" You flicked an ear, stirring in your sleep before hearing the squeaky voice once more that belonged to your best friend, Mosskit.

"Wake up!" You were nudged awake by the white and grey kit and was met with the icy blue gaze of the kit. "What, my mama will tell my off Mosskit if she finds out I was awake at such a late time she'd tell me off . . ." You mumbled, your (Y/E/C) hues contorted into a heavy gaze.

"Mama is asleep and so is Stonekit and Mistykit . . . I had a bad dream and I don't wanna wake them up cause' i'm scared i'll get in trouble . . ." She squeaked quietly.

You looked back up at your mother, Leafnose, her chocolate, brown tabby pelt rising and falling slowly. "Okay, you can sleep with me!" You whispered, your (F/C) was cozy and soft, so it would offer warmth for Mosskit.

"Thanks bessie!" She smiled, curling up comfortably beside you. "Night bub." You purred, resting your (F/C) head on her white and grey one.

"Bye Mosskit, see you soon!" You called to your shorter friend who was leaving the camp in the dead of night for reason. "Bye (Y/K/N)! I'll make sure to bring you back lots of prey!" She giggled.

You replied with a giggle, "you better! Cya bub!" You watched as Bluefur urged them out of camp, before the white and grey pelt of Mosskit disappeared into the thicket of the bushes.

You turned and curled up next to your mother, and went to sleep.

But only StarClan knew that you wouldn't see Mosskit anytime soon . . .
