"Late for your first lecture, miss Whittle?" That was the first thing, Esma heard at her first-ever lecture in the academy. The teacher Miss Relish smiled kindly and saw the embarrassment on the girl's face.

"I got lost. Sorry." Esma leaned her head to the front and stated apologetically. She was well aware of how to do it properly because most of her classes in the previous school started with her apologies. Dan was usually already waiting for her, preparing a place where the girl could nap without the teacher noticing her.

"Take a seat beside Sora and we'll start." Red-headed Miss Relish nodded understandably and pointed to the desk right in front of her. Apparently, Esma won't be able to rest today. She headed and sat at the table with the pink-haired girl, thanking heavens It wasn't Anna, Heth, Mike or Hannes, she had to deal with. Quite a lot of people didn't like her so far, actually.

"It's okay, don't worry. You'll learn the academy grounds quite quickly." The pink-haired girl smiled sincerely as the girl hopped to her place. The little girl was smiling sincerely and Esma could feel how Anna was already looking for ways to kill her in her mind.

"I hope so. Finding my room was quite an adventure itself." The girl sighed and answered politely.

"I also had that." Sora suddenly giggled and it was probably the cutest giggle there could ever exist. Esma blushed and then tried to concentrate on the history lecture by Miss Relish.

They were learning about the historical arguments settlement based on the examples from the recent events in some countries. Surprisingly, Esma got quite interested in the topic and was participating a lot during the class, it was such a rare occurrence, the girl couldn't possibly believe her own engagement to that class. She hated history in college as it was boring and old-fashioned but this class was nothing like that. The ones participating the most with her were Hannes, Ramona, and Mike. They obviously knew much more than Esma but that was what excited and motivated her even more. It was the first time in a long period; the girl didn't want the class to end.

The girl quickly cleaned her desk and was ready to head out to the next class, already quite excited to try them all. She got her schedule and thought of the fact that classes at the academy were quite different. For example, combating skills instead of P.E. and magic history instead of the regular history classes. She was heading to the next room but in the corridor, someone pushed her against the wall so unexpectedly, she only managed to gasp.

"What is your business with Sora, weakling?" Anna asked with her unique accent and powerful "R's" while frowning her dark brows.

"We just sat together, I don't think-" Esma tried to explain herself because wasn't sure of what the girl had in mind. She really looked like could kill a person at that moment.

"I never asked you to think." Anna reached her hand towards the girl and her eyes turned white. It was the sign, that she would cast some spell on her and Esma scrunched her face preparing for the attack. She noticed how some kind of dark, almost purple matter was circling the reached hand and soon turned into a very real weapon.

"Is that a gun?!" Esma didn't even notice how got under her aim. Anna stood without moving a muscle and then suddenly put the weapon to her head. Now that was a real threat and Esma knew that but couldn't possibly react.

"A Colt Walker. Now tell me what do you want from Sora or I'll make your brains slide down that wall." Anna stated and the girl felt shivers rushing down her spine. Esma's heart could jump out at any second and she turned just as pale as the girl in front of her.

"I had no business with her, Miss Relish asked us to sit together." She felt the cold metal gun touching her forehead and shrugged. White butterfly started circling beside the strict-looking girl and she shook her empty hand in irritation.
