"Was Esma always like this?" Ethan fixed his glasses in his usual calm manner, trying to fix his closing a bit.
"Not really," Sora answered him without hesitation. She knew something was wrong with the way, the girl behaved.
"I'm sorry. Using my powers on you was wrong." Heth once again helped Wenda and Phil to stand up. He tried his apology to sound as sincere as he possibly could.
"It's okay. I should apologize too. I let my emotions take control." Phil sighed and accepted his help. It was wrong of him to do any prejudices and the boy knew it.
They all tried to proceed with everything that had happened to them but then suddenly noticed someone or something closing in on them. It was moving like a horse but did not look like a horse at all. Someone rode on its back and there was also a completely black bird flying right beside them. Only after they closed onto the group, people noticed the mythical creature with fire main, head of the dragon, and tail of an ox. It was a noble creation, unseen by them before.
"Where is Esma?" The bird flew into Dan as he was trying to understand the situation better. IT appeared in his hands and the boy glanced at it quite curiously. The boy in a mask got off the mythical creature and then suddenly kneeled a bit in front of it.
"Whoa!" Phil had never seen anything like that. He and his girlfriend stood there without moving a muscle.
"You will have to continue on your own." The creature nodded to the boy in front of him and then headed somewhere to the back, just as nobly as before.
"Thank you for your service, Quillin." Mike spoke up again and then stood up, trying to find the person they were looking for in the first place.
"Ruth! Good thing you are here." Sora rushed to the bird, taking it from the tallboy.
"We should talk to Esma, like this precise instant." The bird that looked kind of like a falcon then spoke up again, making Phil and Wenda open their mouths wide in disbelief.
"Another rescue team..." Dan was too irritated to be dealing with all Esma's friends right now. He knew that became the main reason for their argument only because of his negative emotions.
"Shut it, tall ass. At least we didn't provoke her." Heth stated in the same irritated manner. He wasn't quite sure of what in the behavior of the boy made people think, he was scared but decided not to return to that topic.
"Provoke her?" Mike finally joined in on their conversation and took a serious look at the tallboy.
"She disappeared and headed to the city because of him." The boy with a mullet explained it as well as he possibly could. After all, they had no time to waste.
"Esma can deal with it on her own. In the same way, she dealt with everything before that." Dan did not like either one of the sorcerers he met and felt like the feeling was quite mutual.
"Dan, you know this is wro-" Ruth managed to turn into herself and got covered with Heth's dark cape. She tried to reason with a, clearly, upset boy, even though she didn't know what precisely happened only a few minutes ago.
"Grahh-" Just as she was about to finish her sentence, the masked boy rushed towards Dan with his fists clenched. He hit the boy right in the chin, leaving the injured Dan in quite a shock.
"Mike!" Ruth caught the irritated boy by the sleeve and tried pulling him away.
"She cried her eyes out for you every single day." Mike, however, had no intention of letting that remark slide this easily. He didn't like Esma but knew, the girl definitely felt something towards Dan. "There is no one in this world she cared so much about."
