Prologue

Crazy, sociopath, untochable...

Those were the words Kai Parker once used to describe the twins future. He already knew this was going to happen, but that psychotic was not going tell that to them. He would enjoy to see Caroline and Alaric, desperate parents seeking help for their daugthers, untill the only way out would be to bring the monster back to the real world. 

But Caroline will not let that happen, protect her kids was the only thing that matters for her on that moment. Maybe she regrets in the future, maybe she is making a huge mistake running away. But she can not ignore what happened there. Lizzie lost control, and Josie almost died. That was the only safe option on that moment, the other way was so... God, she couldn't even think about this. No, this was the only way, the safe way. She lost the count how many times she repeated that to her self to make things better. And the annoying noise of the cell phone ringing without a break next to her in the passenger seat was not helping at all.

"Caroline, where are you?. This is not how we were suppost to be dealing with that. "

After all this years Caroline leanerd how to read Alaric's emotions just hearing his voice. She knew what this means.

"There's no other way, Alaric. You are gonna need to trust me on this. And don't try to find us with one of Emma's locator spells, I asked Bonnie to undercover us. Take care of Josie untill I came back.

She hang out before he could say something.

"Mommy?"

That simple word brought Caroline back from a place that she not even knew she was. That was the first thing Lizzie said after she woke up from the accident.

"Yeah, sweetie"

"Where are we going?"

"To see mommy's friend."
