Hope Mikaelson was never good on get close to people.

In the first years of her life she was constantly moving before she had time to make friends, or even meet someone. And when all that thing with the Hollow starts she got scared that this will never happen, but then one day a friend of her father show up asking help for her daughter. Hope was too young at the time to pay attention in what was going on. But after that day things got better, the Hollow was gone, her family was happy and she was going to live. She didn't knew how it all that happens, but she knew that there's something to do with the new girl that moved in. Ten years after and they became more than just roommates, they were friends, sisters, confidents, they became each other's anchors.

Everyone in the city was afraid of Hope's family, or had a good reason to hate them. So it's a not big surprise when you find out that she didn't have many friends, but she had Lizzie and that's enough for her, Lizzie and Henry, Henry and... Henry...

No, no she can not think about that, not now. Not when her family it's trying to send her away because they think she is not in control, think about Henry and what happened will only make things worse. She just need to show them that she is in the control of the situation, and then everything is gonna be fine.

"Why your bags are not ready yet?"

Right, she just forgot about one thing: her mother.

"I thought you would be with the pack this morning."

"And I thought you already done what I asked you."

"Yeah, about that..."

"Hope, we already talked about this."

Talk, Hayley definitively talk a lot and Hope must have broken some things, okay a lot of things. But she didn't had the chance to expose her feelings. That was definitively the biggest difference between Hope and Lizzie. Lizzie was the one who talked, was part of Elijah Mikaelson's self-control program, but Hope was more the Klaus Mikaelson style of breaking things and screaming.

"Your powers and your wolf spirit are not in the same page. You need help."

"And why can't be here? You are the crescent alpha, aunt Freya has centuries of magic experience on her back. I have all the help I need right here".

"It's not all this is about."

Of course it wasn't, it never was. When Hope was smart enough to realize that she had magic powers her mother told her the truth about what she was. A witch with a wolf bloodline, and vampire blood running in her veins. The tribrid. She didn't knew the weight of that word untill her seven's.

"Since the accident you barely left home. When was the last time that you hang out with Henry? Our spent time with your friends?"

Henry...No, Hope focus, just focus.

"Well, in my defense I've been spending a lot of time with Lizzie."

"Lizzie is your sister, she doesn't count. You need to get close of more people on your age, and not some old witches from Quarter."

On the one hand Hope understood her mother's reasons for wanting to send her away. No one out of her family circle was ever able to understand the extent to what Hope Mikaelson's existence meant, not even her own pack, or her aunt's coven. And based on her family's history, she didn't have many friends. And after the accident that was responsible for actived her wolf curse, her social circle of friends has shrunk to one. A new place with new people who has no idea about who she is, it could mean a fresh start. But on the other hand, it would mean leaving behind everything that was familiar to her. New Orleans was her home, she was born there, that's where her family found happiness, that's where her sister is.

But it was clearly in Hayley's eyes how much this was important to her.

"Okay, fine! If this is so important to you, I'll go."

She could see a smile showing up on Hayley's face.

"Look on the good side, at least you won't do it alone."

"Wait, what?"

"Lizzie decided that she wants to go with you. She said that you wouldn't survive without her."

"But I thought her mom said..."

"She did, and I will probably need to deal with Caroline later. But Elizabeth doesn't care about that, she just don't want to leave you alone."

Hope never figured out why Caroline left Lizzie in New Orleans with her family, and most important why her father agree with that. But she wasn't stupid, she knew something serious happened for the way Caroline was always making excuses for her father's total absence. Caroline was one of the founders of the Salvatore School, the place her parents wanted to send her, which meant four visits a year and several phone calls. But Hope couldn't remember a visit from Lizzie's father, maybe some phone calls on her first year  living in the complex. Every time Caroline showed up for a visit, Lizzie asked why her dad didn't come along, or why she could only get through to her twin sister over video calls. The answers? "Your father its really busy with the school, but really miss you", "Josie is too small to fly, and she couldn't handle a seven-hour car ride." until one day Lizzie stopped asking. But now it was different, she decided to finally face her mother and go home just so Hope wouldn't have to do it alone, and just the thought of facing her father and the sister she didn't talk with for two years was making Lizzie freak out.

No, this wasn't good. Lizzie wasn't fine and Hope could feel that.

" I need to see her"

"Hope, wait..."

But it was too late, Hope was no longer in the room.
