I opened my eyes and it was pitch black. I blinked and looked around, not sure where I was. When I stretched I realized I was on my bed. Somehow I'd made it to my bedroom but I didn't remember how. I sat up, wincing slightly from the stiff feeling in my body. I must've been lying in the same position for hours. I flicked on my lamp on the nightstand and when I did I gasped.

Jin was sleeping in the chair next to my window, his head resting on the back of the chair, eyes closed and arms crossed. Seeing him sitting there made everything come back to me...the drunken phone call, him showing up to take care of me, helping me to the bathroom and holding my hair back when the coffee and wine decided to make a quick comeback in my toilet. I even vaguely remember him carrying me to bed and saying he'd stay with me until I fell asleep.

In that moment embarrassment mixed with guilt washed over me. This man had been trying to rest at home when I called him and he didn't hesitate when he sensed I might need someone. No one had ever been there for me like this besides Hoseok and that was completely different.

I sat in bed for a few quiet moments and watched him sleep. I wanted to wake him and offer him the bed so he could get some proper rest but he looked so peaceful that I didn't want to disturb him. I quietly stood up and grabbed a spare blanket from the closet and gently placed it over him. I took a moment to stare at his perfect face. He was so beautiful when he slept.

I was about to walk into the kitchen to get some water when I felt a hand wrap around my wrist. "There's a bottle of water on your nightstand along with some pain reliever," he said, his eyes still closed.

"Th-thank you," I muttered. He opened his eyes and I felt my heart flutter when he looked at me.

"How are you feeling?" he asked.

"Okay I guess, all things considered," I said. "I'm a little stiff."

Jin gave my wrist a gentle squeeze and said, "You should take the medicine and lie back down."

I walked back to my bed and sat down next to my night stand. I quickly popped two pain relievers in my mouth and swallowed them down with water. When I was finished I looked at Jin and smiled weakly. "Thank you for this," I said, waving at the pill bottle and placing the water back down. "You didn't have to come here or help me at all but I'm glad you did."

"It's no problem Emmie, really," he said, sitting up and stretching his arms out.

"How did you know where I live?" I asked him, suddenly realizing that he had gotten here fairly quickly after hanging up.

"I called Hoseok," he explained.

"Wow. I can't believe he actually told you," I said, huffing out a laugh.
