Chapter 31: Winking

Demi's POV

" So what are we going to do today? " I ask the next morning in the kitchen while Joe and I eat some breakfast. His grandpa's house was small, yet comforting and inviting.

" Well I was hoping I could take you around town and show you some places I grew up around. " Joe replies smiling, I think that's a great idea. I'm excited now.

" Sweet, I can't wait. " I say taking another bite of my eggs that Joe's mother had made us, today is going to be so fun. When we finish eating breakfast, we head downstairs to get changed into some clothes other than our pajamas. Joe closes the door behind us once we are in the room. Did he expect me to get changed in front of him? I dind't want him to see how fat I am, what am I going to do? I start to grab an outfit out of my bag when he does, I can't help but feel nervous. When he starts to change, all I can do is stare. He takes off his shirt first showing off his muscles and abs which make gaze in admiration.

" Enjoying the view? " He asks chuckling making me realize he noticed my staring. I'm lost for words, so I just turn away from him and start to change into today's outfit. I hope he isn't watching, I don't want him to see my ugly body. The same body that has gained some weight since he convinced me to stop starving myself or throwing up after my meals. I didn't gain a lot, but it's noticeable to me. As I'm taking off my pajama bottoms, I hurry and take a look to see if he's looking. And sure enough, he is.

" Sorry. " He says turning away grinning, heat engulfs me making me blush like crazy. I hurry and change into the rest of my clothes hoping he won't see more. When I turn back around he's sitting on the edge of the bed staring at me, one thing I still don't understand why he does.

" You're so beautiful. " He says getting up and taking the few steps between us and hugging me, I hug back thinking he's crazy for thinking that.

" Thanks. " I say uncomfortably hoping he won't hear the doubt in my voice, his arms around me then loosen and he pulls back to look in my eyes.

" Anytime, ready to go? " He asks smiling, I nod yes smiling back. We then walk upstairs hand in hand, we see Joe's mother and grandpa watching TV in their pajamas on the couch.

" You guys going somewhere? " Joe's mother asks as she see's us dressed looking curious.

" Yeah i'm going to show Demi around town, it's alright if I take the truck right? " Joe asks grinning a goofy grin trying to be funny to convince his mom to say yes.

" Yeah sure, just make sure to be back before dinner. " She says chuckling at Joe's hilarious expression.

" Awesome, we will see you guys later. " Joe says going to his mother and kissing her on the cheek really quick, we then start to walk out of the house when we hear one last comment from Joe's grandpa.

" And make sure you don't get her pregnant Joseph. " He says not moving his eyes from the TV, we all stare at him and slightly chuckle. Why was he always bringing that up?

" Ok, I promise. " Joe says grinning unable to not laugh at his grandpa's comment. I look over at Joe's mother who has her eyebrows raised.

" Oh and Joe, make sure that doesn't even come close to happening if you know what I mean. Stay pure. " Joe's mother says with all seriousness staring right at him.

" I know mom, we're not even ready for that yet. So just chill guys. Bye now. " He says before looking back at me, he winks making me blush. We then leave the house heading for the truck parked in the driveway. What did he mean when he winked? When we get into the truck hes chuckling softly. When we start to drive, I can't help but think about the wink. Did it mean that he lied to his mom about being not ready, did he want to go there with me? I don't mind if we did go, I just want to know for sure. I guess when I do lose my virginity, that I would want him to be the one. Oh gosh, why did he have to wink like that and make my head hurt with all these thoughts?
