-Chapter 4-

Selene's POV

We headed to the coffee shop, and little by little, I saw Y/N's face start to clear up. It made me feel better, knowing that they were okay.

"Hey.. Dont worry about it too much. Its going to be okay, alright.".

"Okay... Thanks for trying to cheer me up. That was very nice of you considering that you were an asshole not that long ago."

"WA- you little bitch! How dare you. And to think I was trying to help you. ".

I could hear Y/N starting to laugh and then I started to laugh, ending up with smiles on our faces. It was honestly better than the times we were able to hang out, mainly because I felt like a true friend, not just someone that they see everyday at school.

"Are you coming, Selene?". 

I look up to see Y/N at the top of the hill, waiting for me impatiently to follow.

"I coming, Im coming, jeez.".

I start to go up the hill, still seeing that bright smile on Y/N's face, which made me feel happy. Happy that we were friends. But, sometimes I wish that, we were more than 'friends', like a relationship type of way.  But then again, its only a wish...

Y/N's POV

I slowly see Selene walking up the hill, feeling better after what happened. As she made it on top of hill, we both continued down the hill together, kinda like a couple. A couple....

We soon found our way to the coffee shop, seeing a poster that said that there was a singing contest being held there next week, and anyone was welcome. 

" Hey, there's going to be a singing contest here next week, sounds fun. Right Selene?".

"Sure, If you want to be embarrassed in front of a crowd then knock yourself out."

"Well, I thought we could you know... try and do it together. The contest. Just for fun, and even if we do get embarrassed,  we'll both be in the same boat."

"Your still not going to make me do that".

As I was about to continue my conversation, people started asking, " Could you please move up, we dont got all day you know.". It was quite embarrassing, having to be asked to move instead of realizing that I was in the way and needed to move.

Anyway, Selene and I moved up, ordered our drinks and donuts, and sat down.

"Hey Y/N, can I ask you some thing?".

"Umm, sure. Whats up?".

" Have you ever dated anybody? Doesn't matter who, I just asking.".

" No, why?".

"Because... you know what never mind..".

" Oh, okay?".

Just as the conversation ended, our stuff arrived. "Finally, I was starving.".

We grabbed our food to eat in silence, until I heard a buzz coming from my front pocket. I pulled it out to see that it was my mom calling, and being the type of person that I am now, I cant answer the phone in a public place.

"Hey Selene, I gotta take this.".

Selene gave me an affirmative nod, then I went in the front to answer the call. 

"Hello?".

"Hey sweetie, my boss called my not that long ago, saying that his son is going to your school now!! And the best part is... I set up a date for y'all tomorrow at a new restaurant!! Isn't that wonderful! "

"WHAT!!!".

"See I knew you would be excited!! Now if we want to to make a ni-".

I immediately hung up the phone. My jaw dropped realizing that my mother, had set up a date for me to go on with a random dude that I don't even know yet, and expect me to be okay with it? Oh hell no. Why did she even do this with telling me?

Fuck, why did life decide to do this to me today. Today of all days.

All I wanted was some time with Selene, some time together, is that so much to fucking ask?

 Just some time with Selene, together. You know, I wonder how we'd look together actually .. It probably be better than having to be forced to date someone.  

Razul's POV

Its been over 2 hours since Selene left, and honestly, she's probably having a better time than Im having. I've been doing absolutely nothing since she left, mainly because there is nothing to do.

Studying for over 2 hours will help the time go by, but it wont keep you occupied for long. I may be the top student in my class but that doesn't mean that I want to JUST be focused on school.

I sigh, glimpsing at my phone to see 1 notification from an unknown number. I ignore it, then get up from my bed to go take a walk outside. But about five minutes later, the same number sends me another notification.

Not even thinking, I called the number back knowing that this was most likely going to be a spam.

"Hello?".

"We've been meaning to contact you on your cars extended warranty-".

I knew it.

After wasting my time with the spam caller, I decided to keep my promise to go on that walk, but when I went downstairs the most unexpected thing decided to happen.

"Hey Razul honey, can you go text Selene to come home? We need to have a family discussion...".

"Can't you just text her yourself? Its not like your doing much anyway."

"HEY. This is not up for discussion, text her NOW. If she doesn't respond, you better start looking for her, or else...".

"But mom, Selene's been gone for almost 3 hours now. How am I supposed to know where she is? And even if she did respond, she would probably leave me on read, like she always does..".

"Well, thats not MY problem now is it. Go find her NOW.".

 I sigh in response, then heading outside to try and text her.

Hey Selene, mom wants you to come home early.

Read at  3:10

Selene, If you dont tell me where you are, I will have to find you by foot.

Okay try it dumbass. See what happens.

Fine

I start walking to the park, because if I know my sister, she is probably in a fight with a Karen, or somewhere else messing with people.

On my way to the park, I start staring at my phone looking at the conversation I had just had with Selene. She had actually responded to me for the first time in forever, which had made me concerned because of the way she talks to me.

As I was staring at my phone intensely, I walked right into a tree, bumping my head on the trunk.

Recollecting myself, I turned off my phone and stood up continuing my way onto the park. I reached the park, and started my search. I searched and searched and searched all over the park before I finally gave up. I sat down on a nearby bench, trying to call Selene, but as usual she didn't answer.

I didn't want to go back home just to be scolded at, so I decided to go to the coffee shop to get a drink before I start my search somewhere else.

Honestly coffee sounds bad ass right about now. Figuring that I had been searching for an hour already. Well, mom never said that I couldn't have a break.
