Selene's POV

"What is it Selene?" Y/N said with a calming smile on their face.

"Well, the reason I want to go to the mall with you is because of my brother. While you were in the shower, I saw that he had texted. The guilt got to me, and I finally threw in the towel and texted him. From what you saw, we didn't end off on the best terms. Please don't be mad." I said closing my eyes, scared of their reaction.

But then I feel a hand on my shoulder. "I know babe. It's alright. It's all you talk about. In your sleep specifically. But I don't mind. Im here with you."

I look at that beautiful smile and then suddenly embrace them in a hug. I hold on tightly, never wanting to let go. It felt so warm. So nice. So calming.

"Honey, it's nice to know that your helping your girlfriend, but can you please not make your momma feel to single please?" Y/N's mom said with a chuckle.

"MOM!" Y/N said with a heavy blush appearing on their face. I started laughing and Y/N and their mom joined in. Once our little giggle was done, we arrived at the mall.

I was extremely nervous, seeing that I was facing my brother after a couple of days. But, might as well rip off the band-aid.

"Ready to head inside Selene?" Y/N asked.

I gave them a nod and we headed out of the car. We started walking to the entrance, hand in hand as we walked happily alongside each other. We finally reached the entrance, then saying our goodbyes to Y/N's mom.

"Okay you two. Be safe. I'm going to be shopping in the Kohl's if you need me. See y'all."

We both waved our hands goodbye, and walked into the center of the mall.

"Where do you wanna go first?" I asked Y/N.

"How about the food courts? You haven't eaten yet and I feel bad. Don't worry it'll be my treat for being such a rude host."

I chuckled and agreed. We both started walking around the courts and seeing which place looked the most appealing.

I chose Bob's Burger Joint, and we started walking in that direction. But before I could even head inside, I suddenly hear someone yelling my name.

"SELENE!"

And that's when I saw Razul. For the first time in days. I didn't know how to feel at this moment. I just wanted to cry. But, also hug him and apologize for being an actual asshole.

But, I'll do those things later. But right now, a hug will satisfy me.

Y/N's POV

Steven suddenly let's go of my wrist and turns to face Selene, with the most pissed off look on her face. "What the hell do you think your doing punk?" She said, while her fists tightened.

"Sorry, was I offending you? Because last I remember, I'm just trying to talk with this fine babe over here. You got a problem with that?"

"Hell yeah I do. That's MY girlfriend! Now get your hands off of them. Before I make you."

"Oh really? How you going to do that?" Steven said with a cocky grind on his face.

"Like this!" Selene said as she threw a punch at Steven's face. She then grabbed my wrist, and dragged me over to the bathroom.

"Are you okay, babe? Did he hurt you? I swear to god if he did I will-" Selene paused as I gave her a kiss.

"I'm fine. Thanks for that. But, now that that's taken care of, if you'll excuse me" I said as I rushed  into one of the stalls. Sweet relief at last.

I washed my hands, and headed out of the bathroom to find Selene talking to Razul, seeing a smile on her face. I joyfully walked over and gave her a surprise hug. She laughed, and so did Razul. 

We all just started dying of laughter as we headed into the burger joint, and sat down at a booth. We all ordered something to drink and just made small talk.

But then, Razul asked a question that tensed up the mood.

"Hey Selene, can I ask you something?" He said while drinking from his vanilla milkshake.

"Sure, what's up?"

"Have you talked to Mom at all about any of this?"

Selene stood silent for a minute, then shook her head no. I felt worried that whatever her relationship with her parents is, probably is worse than her relationship with Razul.

Well, whatever happens, I must be by her side. I will support her all the way. Because, it must be hard. Dealing with her parents like that.

I wonder why she ran off anyway? I mean, she seemed fine at first. Wonder what brought her  to the conclusion of just running off?
