Selene's POV 

I put the mirror down as I followed Y/N out of the room and down the stairs messing with my braid, feeling nervous. I think Y/N noticed cause they stopped, turned back and held my hand as we continued down the stairs.

They let go of my hand as we left the house, and got in the car. We both sat in the back, and we both look at each other and smile. We buckle our seatbelts, and I pull out my phone and stare at my messages. I didn't notice that Y/N was looking at me, because I had zoned out, and I had flinched when they tapped me on the shoulder.

"Hey, are you okay?" They asked with concern.

I knew why I was so worried, but I didn't know how to tell them about what I had texted my brother. But, I knew they would get me through it.

"Y/N, there something I need to tell you..."

Razul's POV

I continue to stare out of the window, when I feel a sudden buzz from my phone. I notice it's from Selene, and when I tell you I opened the app so fast-

'Meet me at the mall in 10 minutes. We can talk there.'

I stared at it for a while.

I stared at it, because Selene cared. She cared enough to finally talk to me. To finally say something I'd never thought she'd say. She was allowing me to talk to her, after what happened.

I was astonished.

I was so astonished that I didn't even realize that we were at the mall already. 

"Hey Razul, we're here. You ready?"

"Yeah. Let's go."

I quickly got out of the car, and started speed walking to the entrance. Once at the entrance, I realize Jake was still with me, and was struggling to keep up with me. I only realized this because he wasn't with me when I turned around.

When he finally got to the entrance, he didn't looked pleased. "Dude, what the heck! You can't just- just-, hold on I need a moment-".

I slightly chuckle as he catches his breath, then heading into the mall. I pull my phone out of my pocket and open up messages. I text Selene asking 'I'm here. Where you at?' And I hit send.

She responded 'not there yet, gimme a few min.' And I closed the app and put away my phone, leaving me with a slight grin on my face. I turn to Jake who was spaced out onto his phone and asked him, "I wanna do something fun before I start looking for Selene again. Wanna join me?"

"Sure, why not.", he says as he puts his phone away. "So what did you wanna do?"

"Whatever you usually do here, I don't come often enough to know what to do here. Heh"

"Cool! Wanna head to the food courts first?" Jake asked pointing in the direction of the food smell.

"Maybe later, we just ate breakfast, remember?" 

"Oh yeah, right, how about we head over to some of my favorite stores! Maybe you'll find something you like there."

"Alright, why not." I say as I was immediately grabbed by the wrist and dragged over to the crowds of people walking in and out of stores.
