-Chapter 9-

Razul's POV

After I warmed up my breakfast, I went to go sit down at the dining table. I sat at a spot to where I was facing the window, taking a glimpse of Anne and Lily talking from time to time.

At the time, I didn't realize how calm I was when I was at Jakes house. It felt like there was nothing wrong, and if something was, it would be solve almost instantly. I guess I didn't notice because of the way my house is.

There would always be some sort of problem happening, and the room would always feel so tense, it felt like you couldn't breathe. 

I got used to it after a while, but it was nice to have a break from that once in a while. And this break lasted way longer than intended. It felt nice..

It felt like this was all a dream, that I would wake up any moment to the tension of my home. But I didn't. Cause I never was asleep..

But either way, I had to get my sister back. 

I scarfed the rest of my food down and cleaned up my mess. I then start looking for my shoes, having no clue where they are. To be honest, it was kinda embarrassing to try and look for something thats yours in another persons house you've only been to once.

As I was looking around, I realized that if anyone would know where they are, it would be Jake. But as I was about to ask, I saw my shoes by the door.

Really, I said in my mind. I walked over to my shoes and picked them up as I walked to the couch. 

"Hey Razul, where are you off to?" Anne asked.

"I'm going to try to find my sister. She ran off after we had an argument with her friend to who knows where. Probably her house but still.", I replied as I was tying my shoe.

"Oh well, I wish you the best of luck!", Anne said giving me a small smile.

I give her a smile in return, as I finished tying my other shoe. I got up and said my goodbyes and as I was about to reach for the doorknob, I realized that I didn't have a ride. 

As I turn around and just in the nick of time, I see Jake coming down the stairs holding his keys. "Need a ride?".

I give him a nod as he said his goodbyes. We then head out the door and get into his car, feeling the heat from the sun that beamed on the car.

"So.. where to first?" Jake asked.

"I wanna wait a little bit. Its only 11:30, and knowing my sister, she's probably not even up yet." I said as I readjust my seat.

"Cool. I just need gas, and then we're good to go." Jake says as he backs out of the driveway.

"Alright."

I look out the window to try and think about something else other than Selene.

The least I could do was have a clear mind before I get cussed out by my sister. Funny how that works actually, I should be the one cursing at her but she beats me to it every time.

Y/N's POV

I quietly stare at my food after my mom passed it around the table. I already know this shit gonna be awkward as hell, but damn, nobody got me prepared for this.

"Well? How are y'all doing? Are you two lovebirds getting along okay?" My mom smiled as she swallowed some of her orange juice.

I say nothing, as I continue to not eat my food. I just stare at it. I just lost my appetite for anything after my mom came. It seemed like Daniel was feeling the same, cause every time I looked in his direction, he wouldn't be doing anything.

Eventually, I gave in and started eating, which I wished I wouldn't have done.

"So you two, do you have any plans after this? I heard you two talking so I assume your getting along right?".

"..."

"Hey! There's a new food place that opened up! You two should go check it out! Unless you have more important things to do hm~" my mom said with the biggest grin on her face.

As soon as I know it, her smile turns into a frown. "Is there something wrong? Because none of you are responding to any of my questions and it's worrying me."

"No mom, we're fine. We just don't want to talk right now." I said trying to get mom off my back.

"Why? Did something happen earlier?" Mom asked trying to get me to confess.

"Nothings wrong! We're just not in the mood right now." Daniel said.

But knowing my mom, she did t like our response too much. So, she kept prying at us for an answer. But, we did t budge.

After what seemed to be forever, my mom gave up on trying to make anymore conversation, and just focused on eating her portion of the meal.

Eventually, we all finished and started to clean up. We put up our dishes, cleaned the table, and went into the living room.

Daniel had to leave after we ate because of his girlfriend, which he called his mom, so my mom and I said our goodbyes and he left.

I thanked mom for breakfast after helping her clean up, and tried to head up into my room. But, my mom stopped me before I could.

"Hey honey. Is everything alright? You didn't seem to enjoy breakfast too much... did something happen?" She asked feeling concerned.

"No mom I'm fine. I'm just really tired from last night, and I really wanna take a nap so.."

"Alright. Well let me know if you need anything, okay?".

I gave her a nod and a kiss on the cheek and continued my way upstairs. I sigh in relief, as to how close that was. If anything and I mean anything went wrong in there, it could've been the end for me.

But, luckily it wasn't so I have nothing to worry about right now. Until I get into my room, forgetting that Selene was still here.

"Crap! What am I going to do? how am I going to get her out of here before my mom notices?" I think to myself.

I then start panicking, trying to figure out for any solutions when my mom decides to walk into my room.

"Hey honey you forgot your- WHO THE HELL ARE YOU????"

I stand there in shock from what my mother just saw. Selene was shocked as much as I was, from the fact that mom had found her.

Welp this can't be good...
