Another day in the facility

Once the day had started to settle, you headed back to your room and grabbed the file underneath your pillow. It was time for you to try and read what was  on the file. You grab it, hesitant to even look a it, but you were able to.

You grabbed a paper out of the file and looked at it. But then you noticed that it was-

You: (This is a blueprint of a part of the facility!)

You grabbed another file before realizing that there was only one more paper left.

You: (Guess there's not many things to see.)

The second paper you grabbed had the second part of the facility, and it had "weak point?" written on some parts of the blueprint. You reached for the third file, but then you heard a knock at your door.

You rushed to put the paper back in the file and opened your door.

You: Hello?

Kartana: Hey, Y-Y/N, I-I n-need t-to ask you so-something.

You: (Kartana had the file, right? Maybe if I ask her about it, she can tell me some more information.) Hey uh, Kartana, how about you "come inside" so we can "talk" about what might "be next" on the menu for lunch tomorrow?

Kartana looked confused for a bit but soon caught on and entered in. You shut and locked the door as you grabbed the file off your bed.

You: So, care to explain?

Kartana: I uh....

You: You have blueprints of the facility, and you've marked down weak points around parts of it. Do you want to explain?

Kartana: Ok, look. I.... I want to escape.... Please.... Please don't tell Michael.

You: Tell him?! I want that bastard dead!

Kartana: Huh?

You: Look, it's a long story. But tell me something.

You grabbed the last paper in the file and looked at it. It was a list of names with some marks by them. Some of the names had question marks, checkmarks, and most of them had a red x by their name.

You: What, is this?

Kartana: It's a list of people I've spied on. The ones with checkmarks by their name are people I know will help with the escape. The question mark ones are those I don't have much info on. And I think you can guess what the ones with a red x mean.

You started reading through the list of names that had an x.

You: Delta Soldier #1, Delta Soldier #2, Delta Soldier #3, Delta Soldier #4, all with an x. Some scientists, a few more soldiers and workers and..... Zack, along with..... Yang....

Kartana: I'm.... Sorry....

You: You're sure about this, right?

Kartana: I am.

You looked at the paper and questioned about what to do. Was your friendship with Zack and Yang, stronger than your hate for Michael?

You: (I'm sorry guys...) Alright.

You put the papers back in the file and handed it by to Kartana.

You: Knowing Michael, he'll have me doing another experiment. So, here's the plan. When you walk out, pretend like we discussed about food and all that, and in the morning, we play along with everyone else like nothing happened, alright?

Kartana: Okay. I understand.

You: Good.

As Kartana got up, you saw a flower, a buttercup to be more precise, growing.... Out of her arm.
