Chapter 13

Last night we spent few hours catching up with Wanda and Nat. Nat told us that she and Bruce have been having problems. They talked about it and decided that they shouldn't continue being together anymore. Bruce has spent his time studying the gamma radiation and he really doesn't spend time with Nat anymore. Nat's has become more, in the lack of a better word mellower, because of Bruce, but I kind of knew that she wouldn't put up Bruce's bullshit any longer. It was sad to hear because I thought that they really loved each other. After Nat's news, Wanda was hesitant to tell us about her and Vision's trip. Nat ensured her that she is ok and really wants to hear about their trip. From Wanda's stories we could see that they had a very romantic trip. We are all laughing. After their stories, Nat asked me what I meant with the comment of "something else happening" during our visit in Asgard. I tell them some parts of what happened during our last night and I can't help myself from smiling and blushing.

The next day the Avengers told us what was going on with them. Apparently, some big things have happened during our trip. The old CIA case has come to haunt the Avengers. They reminded me what happened back then. Apparently, a civilian survivor is on a warpath. The CIA lied in their internal report that the Avengers were to blame for the explosions. In the media they blamed the criminals, but in the reports they blamed us. The records of that mission were hacked few weeks ago and agent Carter appeared few days ago to inform about this. She told us to lay low and be aware that there is someone after the Avengers. To be honest, she didn't just come to tell this information, I think that she came just to get closer to Steve. Which probably didn't work out like she wanted because Steve has feelings for Nat.

For few days, I spent my time with the girls planning the wedding. It was exactly what we all needed to get our mind of the CIA case and Sharon. We finally have everything planned for the wedding. I can't believe this. I am amazed how much these two women can do when they have the right motivator. If someone would let, they probably could run the entire country.

Nat and Wanda are of course my maids of honour. I wouldn't have it any other way. And I actually know that Bucky already asked Steve and Sam to be his best men. It was perfect. Thor was going to officiate the wedding. The ceremony is held at the compound's garden, we are going to have red, orange, and white orchids as flowers. We just want it to be relaxed, intimate, and quiet ceremony. Tony already promised to pay everything as his and Pepper's wedding present. I tried to tell him that it is too much, but he had a point when he asked us, "Neither of you are on a paying job, how are you going to take care of everything?". I do have wealth from my family ties, but still. I hate when Tony is right, and Bucky hates it even more. So, we set a date, sent invitations for our friends in different places and realms, and soon enough everything was set. Except the dress.

We have been looking for the perfect dress for a while now, but I haven't found the dress. I was actually getting really upset because I was exhausted. One day I was going through wedding magazines, when Pepper pulled me aside. She asked if I could follow her. We went to Tony's workshop and met him there. I was really confused. "So, have you found the dress?", Tony asked without lifting his head from his work. I look at him and answer, "Not yet. I really hate shopping in normal days, but this is even worse.". Tony starts to laugh. "Pepper designed something for you. I just made it possible.", he then says and nod to a garment bag. I look at both of them. Pepper looks really excited, and Tony is just waiting for me to go and open the bag.

I opened the zipper and there it was. A simple and elegant, white dress. The bottom of the dress was made from material like organza. It had several layers and it looked really flowy and relaxed. The top part was made of silk or satin, and it was fitted, with little beading and one wide shoulder strap. I moved the dress and reveal the back that had corset like ribboning. I looked at it and then Pepper. I literally had stopped breathing for couple of seconds. I had to sit down. I was looking at the dress and crying. "It's perfect!", I said when I got up from the floor, and went to hug Pepper. "That's not everything.", she said and winked at me.

I put the dress on me with Pepper's assistance. It fits perfectly. Of course, Tony has probably had Friday to get my measurements somehow. I come out from the bathroom that I used to change into the dress. When I get out, Nat and Wanda have appeared to the workshop. The four of them, Nat, Wanda, Pepper, and Tony are all looking at me, and it looks like Wanda, Nat, and Pepper are about to burst into tears. Tony tells me to spin. I thought that he just wanted to know how the dress fits, but something else happened. "What was that?", Nat and Wanda asked in unison. Tony and Pepper laughed. "Did you really thought that I would create a boring dress for you, sweetheart?", Pepper asked me. "I can't wait for Bucky to see the dress.", I say with a big smile.

We put the dress back to a garment bag and hid it in Tony's workshop. People don't go there so it would be safe there. I hug Tony and Pepper. "Thank you! I am never going to be able to repay everything that you have done for me and Bucky. Thank you!", I tell them. Tony pulls me into a hug. "I know that we haven't known each other that long but after working with you in the lab and everything that has happened, I love you like you were my own daughter. I know that it must sound weird, but I really love you, kiddo.", Tony whispers to me, but everyone in the room could hear it. "I love you too Tony! Thank you for everything!", I respond.
