Chapter 11: Inside

I took a look around noticing a sign and below a small table with 7 stopwatches. I walk towards the table locking the stopwatch on my wrist.

"Wait, why was the stopwatches 8? I only remember it being 5" I whispered to myself.

The trapdoors suddenly flip and the whole gang is here.

"All 6 trapdoors dropped us here? What a gyp!" Leorio said.

"Yep, anyway you guys have to put the stopwatches on" I pointed at the sign and the watches.

The 6 of them looked surprised when they saw me.

"Even Rei too?" Leorio states, "But it ain't too bad"

"But we still need one more person before we can continue" We all looked at the remaining stopwatch, "We're stuck here until one comes down"

Killua suddenly fakes cough, getting my attention. 

"Sooo, how did you fall for that trap?" He grins

"I-I wasn't paying attention!" I fired back

"Ohh~~ So much for your observation~~" He continued while whistling away.

"Hmmm?" I gave him a scary smile, "Maybe... I SHOULD SHUT YOU UP!"

"You could try" Killua smirks.

After a few exchanges...

"Well?" I grinned while looking at him, "Can you talk now?"

Killua is now all tied up with a tape on his mouth.

"Since Killua won't be able to move, I'll be teaching Gon first" 

"Yes!" Gon said excitedly.

Two hours have passed and I took the time to train the two of them until we heard the sound of a trapdoor flipping. It was Tonpa who fell.

I honestly thought of killing Tonpa back then but I was too worried about changing the future and now that I think about it, maybe I should have done that.

I gave Tonpa a deadly glare and looked away. 

The time in our watches began to move and a door with a sign appeared.

'Open this door? Yes - O/ No - X'

"We have to agree already? Pretty obvious choice anyway" Leorio said casually.

We all pressed our buttons in the watch and obviously, Tonpa is the only one who pressed X.

"Who the hell choose X??" Leorio began to be irritated.

"T-that would be me. Sorry, it was a slip of finger" Tonpa lets out a nervous laugh.

This time I looked at him and gave him a fake smile which simply means 'TRY THAT AGAIN AND I"LL FUCKING RIP OUT YOUR INSIDES!'

It seems like he got the message but Killua eyed me with a raised eyebrow.

Leorio also was furious with Tompa but Killua, Kurapika and Frisk managed to calm him down.

"Leorio, the door's open! C'mon!" Gon points at the door.

"This is just wasting time" Kurapika said to which Killua also agreed.

"He wants to be in the minority, let him. The majority decides, remember?" Killua looks at them then at me.

We kept moving until we arrived on a platform. There was a big stage in the center and on the other platform was 8 prisoners, then one of the prisoners began explaining what will happen.

"You 8 will challenge the 8 of us! We will battle one-on-one, each going only once!! Decide for yourselves the order you will go in. Win the majority of the match which is best of 7, and you may all pass!" The prisoner shouts across the stage, "The rules of the combat is simple. Fight any way that suits you!! There will be no draws! There will be only a victor and a loser, your opponent must admit defeat!"

After that we voted and it was a unanimous one. 

Kurapika was about to go first but then Tonpa told us he wanted to go first and act as a guinea pig. But as soon as he walked to the stage and the battle started, he immediately admitted defeat. 

"Did he just give up?" Gon asked .

"Wasted time..." Frisk whispers

"Maybe he meant 'give me a sec'?" Leorio looks astonished.

If only I was his opponent, he won't be able to say a word. HEHEHE.

While I was dozing off again, Frisk pokes me at my side and pointed at the aren. Gon is already there and looks like it's the candle one.

The prisoner proposed a game to be for the next match. He pulls two candles one short and one tall 

"The one who's candle goes out is the loser" The skinny prisoner announced.

He let Gon choose which candle he wanted first and of course, knowing Gon he would choose....

"So simple-minded..." I heard Frisk whispered and saw her smile.

The match started and both candles were lightened up. But Gon's candle began to burn intensely.

"I knew it, that long candle is really rigged" Kurapika said.

"Well, now that settles it" I laughed and they all looked at me.

I answered them by pointing at Gon, who put his candle down went near his opponent and simply blew his candle. All of them are dumbfounde and looked surprised by what Gon did. When Gon came back I gave him a high five.

Kurapika stepped up next and his opponent sure is talkative. They soon decided on a deathmatch and when the match started the prisoner began to flaunt his tattoo. Welp, it was a bad idea and Kurapika's eye changed. He punched the prisoner so hard that it made the prisoner unconscious.

Kurapika comes back and sits against the wall looking gloomy.

"Mental note, Kurapika and spiders don't mix in!" Gon whispered to us.

Leorio then walks up, "Now it's my turn!"

"Hey, you guys! Time to finish this things!! Drag him off and send in your next contender!" Leorio shouts.

"Not possible, I'm afraid" A prisoner answered, "You see, the last match isn't over"

The prisoner began to explain the rules again and confirmed that the other prisoner in the arena is still alive and just unconscious. Then Leorio and the others began trying to convince Kurapika. Killua even tried to convince to kill the prisoner in his stead instead.

"One-on-one does not allow other to step in" Kurapika calmly replied.

I grabbed Leorio's hand and I whispered something to him. 

"Oh! That's a good idea Rei! Leave it to me!" Leorio confidently answered and I gave him a smile.

Leorio began to question the body and it all went to doing wagers. At first, Leorio was doing good and he managed to prove that the prisoner isn't dead. Until the prisoner was revealed as a girl and y'know how it is with Leorio. In the end, they settled it with rock, paper and scissors which Leorio earned us a loss.
