One year later

I'm finally 6 years old, time sure is running slow. Well, when you train with Hisoka I think that will be the case and now I finally learned how to use Nen. Hisoka taught me the basics and he basically told me to "Learn it yourself". I did what I can and I can use it with such ease. It seems like a year ago when Hisoka and I fought, I unconsciously activated my Aura Nodes. Ever since then, I started training by myself in using Nen. I become much stronger than before in terms of all aspects, but not much in strength. I have more strength than an average human but in terms of hunter's qualification, I may be the worse. But, I use weapons to cover that point and not to mention that I gained mastery of using the scythe. Speaking of Shino, she grew a little bit and I recently found out that she was a female bird. Shino and I are a great pair since she is my last resort weapon and the best part is I can use her without relying on strength because when she transforms into a scythe, there is no weight whenever I try to swing it or carry it.

"Rei, I'll be going now. See you soon"

"Hai, see you around then" I waved him goodbye as he disappeared.

Hisoka already planned to go away and bid his farewell to me. Well, I also planned to leave as well and I told him before he left. I'm pretty sure that we'll be seeing each other again since I planned to enter the hunter exam. For now, I need to make some money and I just know the place to earn some.

I packed my things and went on my way. Before I go, I take one last look at Meteor City. And as usual, Shino is sitting above my head.

"I can't believe that this mess became my home" I mumbled under my breath, "Let's go Shino!"

She flapped her wings, looks like she's excited as I am.

Some days later

After traveling for days, I finally arrived at the Heavenly Arena and I was fascinated by it. It's very huge and tall, I wonder if I can climb it.

I excitedly entered the door and I immediately got looks from the others. I paid them no attention as I walked towards a lady at the counter.

"I want to register!" The lady at the counter looks down

"A-are you sure?" She looks worried.

I was cut off by some man.

"Are you lost brat?" He smirks, literally mocking me.

I didn't answer and ignored him.

"Hey don't ignore me!" He was about to grab me but I landed a hit on his nose. He flew back to a wall and lost consciousness.

"Psh, weakling"

I admit that I'm small but that doesn't mean that I'm weak and these people are looking down on me.

"U-umm, what's your name?" The lady asks me.

"Rei Morow"

After that, I answered and filled a few questions and I'm officially registered. Good thing Hisoka taught me how to read and write. But then I sensed something different with my 6th sense, what's my 6th sense? Well, I can gauge people's ability around me and I can tell that someone here is quite strong.

I immediately looked around and saw a familiar face.

What was Killua's age again when he enters Heaven's Arena? Was it 5 or 6? Then we're about the same age at the same place!

I avoided meeting his gaze and tried to not interact with him. It's not yet the time for me to meet them! Gon was supposed to be his first friend. Well, I'm pretty sure nothing will happen as long as I avoid him.

A month later

I kept winning my matches and that's what I did for the past month. I finally had good food and bed unlike back in Meteor City. I already reached the 100th floor in a month and it was sure is easy but when I saw my schedule who my next fight is, my jaw dropped.

It's Killua.

I should have let him finish his time here on Heaven's Arena before advancing.

I facepalmed in disappointment.

On the bright side, I can fight Killua and maybe I can defeat him! After that, I won't interact with him again until the hunter's exam.

I was walking towards my room when Hisoka appeared out of nowhere.

"Big bro!" I greeted him with a smile.

"It's been a while, I'm glad to see you alive"

"Glad to see you alive as well" He smiled, "What brings you here?"

"I wanted to see my little brother"

"No, no. I know how your head works, something will happen and that involves me.

"Bingo!" He snaps his finger and Illumi also appears out of nowhere.

"Who is this big bro?" I pretended not to know who he is.

"This is Illumi, the eldest son of the Zoldyck family"

Illumi approached me and looked at me closely.

"Your brother seems skillful, he can be on par with me"

Oh boy, I hated this man.

"I look forward to your battle with Killua"

After that, Illumi disappeared and Hisoka chatted with me for a while before he bids farewell again.

I finally entered my room and prepared for the battle.

Time skip

It was the time for battle. I walked up to the stage and I saw Killua doing the same.

"We now have the two dark horses facing each other! This is the most anticipated battle for a long time!" The announcer sure is lively.

I closed my eyes and waited for the signal of the match to start. The moment I heard it, Killua was already behind me but I calmly turned around and met his gaze. His eyes widened from shock and backed away. He then tried attacking me front-on and rushed into me. I can see his attacks and felt that it was getting slower and slower. That's when I realized that I was using Nen unconsciously. I was caught off guard with this fact and he landed a blow on my stomach. I almost got out of the ring.

"Fine, I'll get serious" I whispered to myself

In a blink of an eye, I managed to appear beside him and managed to find an opening which I attacked. I used my speed to my advantage and kept attacking him whenever his guard was off. In the final moments, I used all my force to attack him and it sent him flying away from the stage.

"T-this is unbelievable! It was a one-sided fight!"

After the match, I looked at my hands and I realized how strong I became. I waited for Hisoka and Illumi to appear but good thing they didn't and I was able to relax. I wonder how this will have an impact on Killua. Crap, I may have changed the future.

A month later

I kept on winning until I reached the 200th floor. I heard that Killua also finished the 200th floor and left, good thing we didn't face each other again. Looks like I will try my luck on reaching higher floors. I still have much to do.
