Chapter 12

It's been a few days since the incident. Since that day, I haven't spoken to Dream at all. I tried to avoid him at all costs, while going back and forth fixing the house. Fixing everything alone, in peace, wasn't honestly the only reason why I didn't want to see the blob. It was also because I knew how terrible of a person I was that night and that I acted as complete and total asshole. Sure, he messed up, but I should have reacted differently, especially about the throwing part. I overreacted and lost my temper very fast, which was unusual for me. I was always the kind of person to think before doing something, but that time, I guess the alcohol did it's part.

Today was the fifth day of working. For the past four days, I fixed almost everything myself. Now I waited for the new TV, couch and table to be delivered to me and put in place, which should be now, by the way. That's why I had to wake up much earlier.

Surprisingly, after that night, the next morning I woke up and as I was examining the damage, I saw that Dream broke everything except my laptop. It was intact. Whether because he didn't want to destroy all our hard work we did on my projects or purely because he just didn't feel like it at the moment, I would never know.

Now, I did say that I haven't seen from Dream in a while but there was more to it. I wasn't really a morning person, I mean, I was, but not really. I always loved to sleep in a few hours and enjoy the warmth of my bed. So, whenever I woke up these past four days and went to the kitchen and made myself breakfast, I would find a single flower laying on a silver platter. Lucky for me, I was a flower-meaning nerd too.

I shook my head at the memories of the past few days. My head instinctively turned into the direction of all four flowers, I'd put in a small vase. I sighed heavily, feeling like my heart was being pressed by a huge rock.

Everyday, Dream went out to find specific flowers and bring them to me. I guess that was one of the reasons why I never even once bumped into him in the house. From what the flowers said, I saw that he truly regretted his doings, which made feel like a terrible person even more.

I should be the one that feels regret, not him!

Exhaling, I stood from the chair, deep in thought. Today I woke up earlier than usual. I was wondering if I'll find another flower on the platter later in the morning…
