**Another warning, the topic of assault is further discussed in this chapter, I'll be it less so than in Wednesday's chapter, but still, if the subject is triggering to you, don't read on.**

I'm sitting at my desk, finishing up my last bit of Spanish homework before class tomorrow. Peter is laying on top of his bed, scrolling through Instagram, asking me random questions about the different girls that pop up on his "for you" page.
"You think Tony would mind me talking up Brook?" Asks Peter, putting his phone down to look at me.
"What do you mean? He'd probably beat your ass, cause last I checked, they're still together." I reply, turning away from my desk and towards Peter.
"Well, according to Instagram that's not the case." Taunts Peter.
"No shit?" I question, moving towards him.
When he flips his phone towards me I see that all of the pictures Brooklyn had with Anthony were removed from her page, replaced by an inspirational quote on a plain black background.
"Weird." I sigh, pulling my buzzing phone out of my low-hanging sweatpants.
Alessa's name lights up the screen, and I hit answer.
"Ale. What's up?" I question, still unamused by Peter's gossiping.
"Cam. Can you meet me at the health center? Oh and bring Amara, she should be in the library." Commands Alessa.
"Okay. Ale, what's wrong? You're scaring me."
"I'll tell you when you get here, but just get Amara and come to the health center. Just the two of you." Then she hangs up.
At the sight of my confused expression and hurried replies, Peter looks over to me and asks, "What?"
Unsure of how much to reveal, I reply, "I — I don't know. I just have to go get Amara and head down to the health center."
"Tony's cousin?" Asks Peter, getting up from his bed.
I shuffle around the room, grabbing my fob, keys, and shoes, letting out a quick reply as I leave, "Yeah. I don't know what's going on. Just stay here. I'll update you when I know."
I hurriedly swing open the door and run through it, letting it slam shut behind me. I make quick work, running through the lounge and out of the dorm. The crisp fall air hits my face, fueling my legs into overdrive — a slight strain pinching the back of my leg.
When I reach Anderson Hall, I quickly fob myself in and rush to the library. Situated in the lobby of the building, the library has an all glass wall, displaying all of the students working hard to finish their last bit of work for the next day. I quickly skim the crowd of students in the library and land on Amara sitting in the back, right-hand corner.
I've only met Amara a handful of times, but her orange-brown hair and fair tone skin give her away.
I rush into the library, and up to Amara, unconcerned of the amount of attention I am drawing to myself.
"Amara, you need to come with me." I breathe out, finally getting a chance to catch my breath.
Her eyes go wide at the sight of me panting next to her, and she pulls out her earbuds asking, "What?"
