Louis loved Harry.

It was as simple as that. But Harry loved Greg. But Greg didn't love Harry. Greg uses Harry.

And the cycle goes on.

When Louis met Harry two years ago when they started uni, he fell in love with the clumsy, curly-headed boy immediately. Harry was single at the time and Louis was stupid.

So very stupid.

He was so nervous around the boy that he had never acted on his feelings and by the time he was ready to finally ask Harry out on a proper date, Harry was coming home with excited eyes and telling Louis, his best mate mind you, all about this amazing boy named Greg who seemed so different from everyone else. So special. Someone to make him happy and make him feel wanted. If only Harry knew that Greg was wrong for him. And not just because Louis was jealous, which he most definitely was not thank you very much. Greg was genuinely a horrible person.

But Harry couldn't see that.

His beautiful green eyes would light up when he saw Greg...if only the two boys knew their eyes did the same when they saw each other, Harry's eyes even brighter for Louis. Greg's eyes, however, would remain impassive and cold and unforgiving. He didn't actually want Harry. He didn't really want anybody. He just wanted a person to use and manipulate. Someone who would be faithful and never question his motives and give him what he asked for. Of course, he couldn't show Harry that side yet. He would start simple. And he did.

At first it was little things. For starters, Greg hated Louis with everything he had. Perhaps Greg could see the way Louis' eyes lit up when Harry was around. To say the feeling of hatred was mutual would be an understatement. Anyways. Greg started taking up so much of Harry's time he couldn't see Louis, their friend Zayn, Zayn's boyfriend Liam, or their other friend Niall. And of course Harry eventually noticed but hey, Greg was his boyfriend and he was giving Harry attention, right? It got worse. Greg became rough and cold and uninviting. Forcing Harry to do his coursework, among other things, and becoming a horrible person when it wasn't perfect. And he tried to mace it up to Harry with a quick make out session, but Harry didn't want that. But Harry wouldn't say that either. So he just complied. Because Greg loved him right? Harry couldn't see that he was in an abusive relationship, but he was too far into back out now. He didn't deserve better anyways. This was the best it got. And if you cry to his best mate Louis at least three times a week, Greg didn't have to know.

LOUIS POV

I woke up in my tiny single bed in my dorm, immediately noticing the warmth and weight from the curly haired boy, who I was hopelessly in love with, that was all my chest the before, was missing. I rolled out of bed and noticed a note in Harry's handwriting on the nightstand.

"Boobear... Thanks for holding me last night. Didn't mean to fall asleep on you, but you fell asleep too you wanker. Went back to see Greg and apologize for messing up his paper. Love you, Harry."

The soft smile that had formed when I read the note disappeared when he mentioned apologizing to his pathetic excuse of a boyfriend. He shouldn't be doing Greg's homework anyways. I put the note into the top drawer of my nightstand and got changed to go to class. Unfortunately I didn't have any classes with Harry, so I wouldn't see him until later. The guys and I had made plans to have a study session in Zayn and Liam's shared apartment.

TIMESKIP COS SCHOOL SUCKS

I trudged my way to Ziams apartment, the only thought in my head being harryharryharry. I opened the door and walked down the hallway to the room screaming, "YOU WANKERS BETTER BE DRESSED I'M COMING IN" and open the door.
